Also I didnt say SNSD isnt talented only half isnt. However go through the list of the other idol groups and tell me if any have promoted 3 shittier songs then SNSD's Gee, Genie and Oh. Also yes Transformers would win best movie if it was up to the masses because the masses go for special effects (dem legz) theyre not to hung up on the substance of the movie.
I'll one up you on this one: 4Minute - Hot Issue, Muzik, What A Girl Wants
It's kind of hard to go through idol groups and even name 3 promoted songs, since all the groups are rather new. You know you're bad when your only 3 promoted songs are absolutely terrible (4Minute's case).
WTF do English lyrics have to do with how good the song is. Every group makes horrible use of English. I never shat on SNSD for their English I even praised their tell me cover but that isn't there song. If they did the songs 4minute did Id probably be a fan but they choose to keep making crap so I'll keep haiting. Also how can Bo Peep fans question the music of any other group. That song kills more brain cells then smoking and alcohol combined.

K-pop hasn't been widely successful anywhere else other than in Korea...It makes you wonder. Personally, I'm a pretty big fan. I don't care what anybody else says or thinks about my tastes. OP was obviously a little bit sarcastic but so far this thread has been pretty troll-free (AFAIK). Personally I'd also like to see more diversity in the music. It's too bland at times you know?
It's good to at least see some electronica being mixed in recently, I think starting last year, Shinawa and the Brown Eyed Girls are some mainstream examples of the mixing of genres.
Friends of mine can't seem to distinguish between any of the bands looool. I don't blame them. Other than a few notable songs like L.O.V.E. nothing stands out for them apparently. Rock-K? Does that exist? Or K-Rap? I'd love to sample a few of those if they exist.
For my friends, can anyone recommend something that's mind blowingly good? I dunno. All of them, despite being pretty unenthused about the entire genre, are really really open minded. Guys seem to really enjoy kpop when I show them the videos though :D So yeah, I love k-pop but I'd love to see a lot more creativity in it. It needs a lady gaga....
