I can't really say if you are wrong or not, but I have found this infographic fairly accurate from my experience in language learning. + Show Spoiler +
Honestly, I used to dislike Mandarin songs, and it's my second language behind English. But I've grown to like a lot of Mandarin songs (artists like JJ Lin make it sound beautiful). I do agree that in certain people, Mandarin sounds harsh, but I almost feel like that's true to some degree in every language. I personally can't stand listening to Canto, I can understand a little of it, but native Canto speakers always sound like they're yelling when they're just speaking normally lol

I wonder who made this? Obviously, I don't know every single language on the board there, but I know English and Mandarin, and took quite a bit of Japanese/Spanish in college as well. Nowadays, trying to pick up Korean though harder with job in the way. I felt Japanese to be very easy to learn, but then again... knowing Chinese pretty much eliminates recognizing all of Kanji haha.
Having said that, the Japanese alphabet is structured with a very defined way (and extremely easy) to learn and enunciate. Every language is slurred to a certain degree, but I find Japanese to not be slurred that much just because they're language flows together already. Again, just my opinion though.
I jut noticed Fox116's sig. I laughed. Thank you for taking Seditary's place and keeping up with all of the music shows. Even if no one else finds it useful, I do.
If you are fluent in Mandarin, learning Korean and Japanese should be easy, like French for someone who only knows English. That infographic is for English speakers.
BTW i meant favorite, not best. which one do you like the best

There are several things that make a language hard to learn. Tones, grammar and irregularities. I heard Finnish is very very irregular and their grammar is sickly hard to master.
