Episodes 15 and 16 made no sense at all. It's like they had no idea how to finish the story.

Have to say Shinee are really impressing me this promotion cycle. Apart from the stage outfits (ikr? wtf?), they've really outdone themselves. I'm really liking the intensity of the choreography as well as the fact that they're in tune just about the whole time. Also helps that I find the songs catchy as hell. (Also is it just me or are there ball squeeks all over "Stranger"? especially during Keys parts, and Minho's rap).

You crazy, nothing wrong with cantonese bruv, be proud it's the single hardest language to master :D

The music isn't the best at this point in time and I'm not at all up to date with everything but it's fiiiiine! Songs I listen to are still nice in cantonese.

This is the case with so many Kdramas, maybe 50% completely fizzle on the last episode.

also Chinese is a fucking troll language to write/read. Jesus, you'd think that over 3millenia of unification would lead us to using phonetics like the rest of the world but nope. a frankenstein compilation of ideo/pictographs and phonetics is what we've managed to produce, along with two different ways to write them, and 50 different forms of speaking the language.

to this day I haven't found a kdrama ending I've been 100% satisfied with, the exceptions being stairway to heaven and iris.

Cantonese: sounds nice when sung, but not the best when spoken. Doesn't sound all that logical or rounded (I speak fluent Cantonese, but only basic mandarin)

Korean: nice sounding when sung, and spoken by native koreans, in korea. In Australia the Koreans speak this ugly angry Korean.

Japanese is nice spoken and sung as well imo.

Yes, cantonese is very hard to learn. It has 9 tones instead of the 4 when learning mandarin. Word that you would spell like Tong as a foreigner, has like 8 different usages for me already (I don't think I got them all yet). That's not easy to learn at all. That's just one word. Tones are so important, it's not even funny.

Now, I'd say that chinese languages can sound quite aggressive and most of the time it's like that. So it's not really nice to hear it like that but the music is fine.

The tonal thing is what ruins it for me, sounds so unnatural. Like the simplest phrase requires some convoluted vocal acrbatics. For want of a better term it doesn't flow in a pleasing way. Even German, which is a coarse language, doesn't jar like Mandarin. Has nothing to do with being aggressive.

I gave up after the 8th episode, just complete non-sense, JYP should never be allowed to produce a drama ever again

I'm quite surprised by your views on Mandarin. I find it quite smooth and pleasing to the ear. Canto and Japanese sound extremely aggressive to me.

Nine Muses with the violet combi (or whatever name that piece of fabric has) was really retro. It's really impressive how they can manage to be that creative with recycling old ideas.

I've always thought Chinese sounded very harsh - not as harsh as Japanese but not as free-flowing as Korean either. Some of my Japanese friends told me Korean sounds like baby talk to them. Haha.
