No, started knowing nothing but random words my association with this thread/listening to kpop/watching variety/dramas had me pick up, so I'm not the best if taking classes is out of the question. However, there is a learning Korean thread on TL (search for it), and I've heard of people doing it. It's definitely possible, but you'd have to put in more effort and make sure that you push yourself because not having a class means that you have to set your own pace. I'd definitely know a lot less if I didn't have to do homework and study for tests and such.

I did the Korean fascination thing back to front. Made Korean friends online by chance, they showed me kpop videos which I initially laughed at them for, then I saw the girls and worked my way up from being curious to where I am now, a dirty Koreaboo. Well, you won't catch me calling girls nuna or hanging SNSD posters on my wall, but the fact I check this thread every few days and have kpop on my mp3 player as a grown man is damning enough.

Rainbow MV is hot. I like the song as well.

HwaYoung one piece is awesome. I don't like any of the cross over songs and I also really like the kor version a lot. HwaYoung makes the MV good though.

I thought I'd give you guys a tip on a site for learning Korean if you want to (if you don't know about it).

Talk to me in Korean. I am actually using it outside of my Korean classes since they are damn good at describing.

Also: My teacher looks a bit like Taeyeon during gee days. Wife her?

I took like, 7 lessons and yeah it helps a lot. Slowing down consumption so I'm not bored when i take a uni class in it

also only if she's under 50, cause she'll turn into short woman

Yeah. My books are quite awful at explaining a lot of things (using a lot of extremely formal English), whereas TTMIK helps me within a few seconds.

I think she is around 30.

Cause I never got around to it, my impressions:

They seem to feature Boram a lot- center for the first shot, blocking EJ who has a lot of parts. Same with Soyeon, more than usual for a T-ara PV, which is interesting. May be trying that CCM "make all members popular so all members make us $$$$" strategy.

WTF a Japanese PV in good quality? Awesome. They didn't give Hwayoung the rap parts- interesting, because they always did before- for all of T-ara's new songs and for the Japanese versions of the old T-ara songs. Wonder why- did they give up on making her popular, is she not testing well in Japan? Either way I can't say I mind. Speaking of the rap, it could have been done better but I did like the spelling for whatever reason.

They did a really good job covering up the huge eyebags, especially on Ham/Jiyeon. Look at DH2/Ham's drama or red carpet photos and they look much more tired/heavier lines in faces and eyebags and shit. Wish they put that much care into the makeup all the time.

Speaking of makeup, the high def does mean that you can see their acne on closeups. I guess having makeup on 24/7 and practically no sleep will do that to you but it was weird clearly seeing acne bumps, on Soyeon/Hyomin especially.

I don't like Qri's hair red. Looks better than she has in months otherwise. Jiyeon's hair is good. Soyeon's hair is done in such a way to make her less attractive than usual. I like either twintails or hair down w/bangs. Hyomin's back to her short hair and it's a mistake.

Surprised they kept kojimal in there. I mean it's the title of the song but you'd think they'd make it Japanese somehow. Not upset though, it probably would have sounded weirder without it in there. Speaking of weird, although there is a bit of the "I can tell this wasn't originally supposed to be sung in Japanese" in there, the lyrics are localized better than previous T-ara songs/a lot of other kpop songs out there. Only people who do it better are DSP IMO, but they've always understood the Japan market better for whatever reason.

It's really weird to see them do an old song, especially cause it isn't some weird theme concept like they have been doing lately. I guess Black Eyes didn't really have a theme per se but I'm much more used to the stylized, Roly Poly/Yayaya T-ara than the regular ass elegant sexy T-ara. Welcome change, hope they stick to it for their June promotions.

Listening to this song makes me wish that T-ara had stuck to this and Absolute First, even though they probably would be nowhere near as popular without the lolly polly boom. Although now that I think about it BPBP was in Absolute First. I guess I mean more like TTL/Kojimal T-ara.
