Also, of course SNSD would go to places with an asian population. Saying that they wouldn't do well somewhere doesn't mean anything. I don't see a lot of country artists coming up here to New Hampshire. Doesn't mean country artists aren't really popular in some parts. And of course kpop won't be as big as regular american top40 but that doesn't mean it can't be successful.

I go to make some food, walk back to my room with Ramyuns (obv) and walk in front of the living's room TV. Hear about 200+ dead in Syria in the last few hours. Meh, standard. Get into my room, what do I see on my monitor, NICOLE TWEETED USING THE ''TTT T_T" SIGN!!! What happened?! Is everything okay, what does this mean ? Must investigate! That is all lol, #LifePriorities Sometimes, I don't know if you're my hero or the opposite ![]()

1) Can anybody tell me if I can find fOrGG's playlist anywhere? it was pretty much that that made me really interested in the genre since it has a lot of really good songs in it. 2) Can anybody recommend groups like Miss A, Kara, T-ara, SNSD or solo artists like IU? I like the more uplifting, more electronic-ish style of Kpop. I have looked around the thread for a while but I just don't know where to start.

SNSD is a niche group, and I would imagine there being more people going to MLGs than to SNSD concerts across the country tbh As much as i love snsd and kpop, i agree you have to be realistic ... SMTOWN was able to have concerts in LA and NYC but i imagine 85% of the fans were Asians (Koreans, Chinese, whatever) could be wrong but ill say that for now. i am happy they were able to get a good fan meeting, good start but they have to get better songs and promote way more before anyone can say they are popular or well known in the USA. I don't know anyone who even knows what Kpop is or who snsd is ... so unless the average person knows they are just a niche market. Ill use this as an example, i am Indian and when the movie slum dog millionaire was out people were all excited about "Indian" movies, they thought that was what every "Indian" movie was but ... no no ... generally they are musicals and very cheesy, and oh ya no one cares about "Indian" movies anymore but me ![]()
