Black Eyed Peas, but it's not a "traditional" group that has choreography and dances.

If life taught me one thing, it's that Asian men can get away with being metro-sexual while white (or any other race for that matter) guys are usually deemed extremely gay with it. The popularity of Asians seems to be on a rise too. You've got pretty famous YouTube stars like Nigahiga, KevJumba, Chonny, and the two at JustKiddingFilms. There's also dance groups like Jabba, Quest Crew and Poreotics (Quest Crew and Poreotics both sport the Metro-sexual style). Far East Movement is also getting a huge amount of recognition.

(Vote): CL (2ne1) here's a video to help you decide if you're unsure Personally, I can't say I'm a big fan of female rappers. Idol rapping is ??? I don't know how to describe it... It's basically not rap, it's just like their signing but in a different speed and tone. But idol singing has none of the characteristic of ''real rap''. So I can't say that I like idol rapping in general... I think it's very hard to bust out an ''idol rap'' part in a song without making it seem out of place and/or ruining the song. I think the one female idol rapper that screwed up the less song and therefore would be the best in my eyes is Miryo of the Brown Eyed Girls and obviously Nicole (who i voted for) but I'm well aware that I'm quite bias here. However I look at he raps closely, she also didn't ruin any song yet. Her opening of Lupin is an opening, it sets a pace, opens up the song and therefore can't ruin it. It's not great, far from it but at least it doesn't ruin the song and doesn't seem to out of place. In Honey her rap is really good in my opinion. If you look at it from a true rap/hip-hop perspective, obviously it sucks; no punchlines, multi syllables, easy rhyming, bad flow, etc. But from an ''idol rap'' point of view, in my opinion she nails it. It's cute, fit her voice well and compliments well the song (as in it's like she's still singing but with a different tone and speed to mix it up). Honey is imo the best example of what female idol rapping should be. (Feel free to prove me wrong or give other examples, i want to see what people think)

Bieber. Backstreet, nsync, 98 degrees, boys to men. It comes in phases, but there are a lot more boy bands/cutsey boys than girl groups. The only girl group I can remember taking off in America was the spice girls. Britney, Christina, and Miley Cyrus all tried to get out of the "innocent girl" thing as fast as possible. Americans like divas. Just look at beyonce, adele, lady gaga.

White does it = OMG BURN HIM AT STAKE! Asian does it = OMG THAT IS SO WEIRD, BUT I LOVE IT. I could be wrong as I don't follow this stuff...but look at Justin Bieber...where else did he get that "omg he's so gay" image about him? (although most haters are just jealous, but I don't really think he's talented or anything...just one of the few teenage idols for the many teenage fangirls...) Bring Shinee into US debut (I think their english sucks even more than other notables, but let's ignore that) , few weeks of awkwardness, but I am sure there will be rabid fangirls all over them (well I guess there are already...) @Tu: WHAR IS EVERYONE'S FAVOURITE? They are considered rappers if you ever read their profile on official websites or in CD booklets or whatever. That's their ''position'' even tho some of them don't end up rapping a whole lot. I would probably vote for KMK or Miryo CL shouldn't count, blackjacks would automatically rigged the poll with no real discussion. CL also had "beyonce" in one of her raps :/

Until recently I actually thought that male rappers in idol groups are decent at their job, like taecyon for example. But when Yoon Mi Rae came out during the one hip hop stage and slayed those idol " rappers". She, Gary and Dynamic Duo really showed those kids how it's done.

Collaborations are smthg different (Song Ji Eun's Going Crazy, TTL, etc.). But I really don't think I can think of a song which didn't get dragged down by a rap sequence. Neither does it usually fit the style of the song nor is any of the idol groups really proficient in rapping. Male groups might be another story.
