To ensure this thread won't be closed, you must adhere to several a number of simple rules; - Please use spoilers when quoting a post with pictures and/or videos.
- When posting large quantities of media (pictures or videos), please begin spoilering after the first piece. Grouping related videos in the same spoilers & labeling is recommended.
- No reposting of old material unless justified
- Posting any material with little or no relevent discussion accompanying it
- No passion-induced flaming of each other because 'x said y sucked' etc.
- Keep the expression hate of music individuals/groups to a minimal level
- No 'pagetopping' in any form whatsoever, as it constitutes spam equal to posts similar to 'first'.
- No vulgar fan fics or wet dream stories. It is creepy, weird, and it dehumanizes the people who you are here to celebrate/discuss.
- Normal posting standards that you find throughout the rest of the site still apply and will be enforced more strictly from here forward (2012/03/11)
Due to the poor nature of this thread in the past, temporary two-day bans will occur more than often if people slip up. |

So I don't know if Im going to get a warning for totally changing the subject but I thought it was better to post here instead of making a new thread. I'm making this huge playlist for when I ladder as to make it somewhat funner(less mundane) and after reading somewhere that playing music while playing actually helps because you look at your minimap more and are overall practicing better alertness. So far in my playlist, I mostly have cudi, lupe, skrillex, nit grit. I got these from watching Idra's stream. He actually has a pretty good taste in music. But after tuning into Huk's and Cella's stream it seems like korean music is what I feel like my playlist is missing. I don't know if this massive thread of over 1400 pages has a list of what music is on their stream or if theres a recommended list but I'm looking to expand my library. So if anyone could give me any suggestions I'm totally new to this field and look forward to listening to some korean songs! thanks!
Basically I need help making a playlist of Korean songs to ladder to, like from Huk and Cella's stream! thanks.

Just go through the whole god damn thread listening to every MV that was posted. I suggest going from reverse to get the latest songs first of course.

youtube is the best answer, imo. The MVs/Live performances will make you addicted.

^...why?
Anyway, last I tuned into HuKs stream (and this was a couple months ago) he had that 2ne1 album on repeat. So if you like that, just search for 2ne1 or whatever. Make sure you listen to the songs first though, they vary in quality and some are much better than others.

We're all entitled to our opinions, and I'm trying to find some not completely asshole-ish way to say this, but wtf? If you're staying SNSD, Gee is infinitely superior to Genie I could see as being the best (conflicted). Good Day by IU is what I'm tending to lean towards to cause it's very kpopish (cute, tons of "oppa!s", but with actual musical talent, and not just by kpop standards).
Idk, obviously we all have our opinions but I just thought Genie was really forgettable, like everything they had done up to that point but without a good hook.

Wow that group seems fierce and has so many pretty chicks. I have a feeling that this Bang! group will be going places. Thanks for introducing us, bro!
Man, I can't get it out of my head now, "Ooooh after, school up mo reach around!" <3

Genie was the shit man. I have my imo bubble up, I am now immune to criticism. Genie was what really got me into SNSD. Dat Marine concept wuz the greatest. I like them all at approximately the same level so i dun give a shit. Except hoot, that was awful.
Anyways, need to ask again. Anyone know how promotions work in Japan? I need my live kgroup that went to japan fix, namely SNSD.

They're not promoting right now... they're doing a series of concerts now around Japan; Arena Tour. The only footage you're gonna get of that is crappy fancams. There's also this 40 min NHK special up at SSF that has a bit of BTS and live footage from the first concert.
Also, the Japanese tv stations are highly aggressive when it comes to youtube postings of their stuff, but you can try looking up SNSD and Hey! Hey! Hey! Music Champ and Music Station. Their last live broadcast was at the MTV VMAJ show, which has been posted a couple of times already.

Might as well answer this since the rest of the thread is a waste of time right now lol.
SNSD isn't actively promoting in Japan in the way kpop promotions are done. They're being treated more akin to international artists visiting the country, with a few shows here and there, mostly music ones and of course their tour.
That's it. They're coming back to Korea after the tour is done apart from a couple special events in August.

Wow, IMO genie was up there with the best releases of SNSD. That's just me I guess, the military concept really sold me

The genie concept was the greatest thing I have ever seen. I was immediately hooked after I saw that MV.

To be fair, Good Day is right up there with Genie...
