Just saw it. Freaking awesome.

Did anyone see the South Park episode that basically spoiled the plot a month ago? (Plot wasn't much but still)

Instead of mingling with tall blue people Cartman mingles with smurfs.

Just saw it.

As people have said above, visually it is fucking rad.

As a narrative, I think it has its moments but the context humanity is in is too ambiguous for me to call the plot anything but 'morally confused'.
To say that I'm missing the point, you would first have to show that such work can have a point.

I just saw it aswell and it just had everything for me. The visuals im just at a loss for words, it was incredible. This may sound weird, but when the main guy was giving the speach to get the other Na Vi to go to war I got like these tingles all over my body like it was an orgasm or something. 10/10 for me.

Also at the end our theatre gave it a standing ovation.

Saw it too, was awesome. The thing I like most about Cameron's movies is the fact that they always have kickass females.

The only con I have for the film was the sound fx for some the animals. The horse type animals in particular had the same fucking sound as the Raptors in Jurassic Park while the were hunting Lex and Tim in the kitchen. The EXACT same fucking sound.

Saw it on release. Highly recommended if you enjoy almost any type of film.
Don't watch the trailer btw... Wait for the scenes to blow you away when you get there.

Wow. Amazing movie. Best special effects I've ever seen.

Great storytelling+++
Great music+++
Great special FX+++
Great pace/flow, never gets boring!

Plot is kinda superficial and makes it a little predictable with the steps the hero undertakes to stop the greedy villains.. also some parts could be a little bit more in depth. The world they created is beautiful though. I'm not very educated on this but I don't think any books were involved right? In that case thumbs up to the director for actually creating a pretty complete world It gave enough info to actually make me want to know more about flora & fauna.

For all the times you guys have been wondering why companies like Blizzard can make such awesome cinematics but nobody ever produces a full movie (next to the FF flukes) like it, it has now been done.

It has a strong technique, but it lacks oo.

Having watched the trailer, avatar looks like an utterly terrible movie. Will not watch. All the more so because of the ridiculous hype. I wont help contribute to that garbage.

Watched it. (in 3D)

It's good. Recommended definitely.

Plot-wise, + Show Spoiler +
it was a little cliche. It was also fairly predictable for me as the movie progresses (aka I could tell something was going to happen 5-10 minutes before it happened) but I missed a few twists. Still pretty good though. Reminded me of the Matrix, with the avatar shifts and all.

CG is fantastic. The sense of detail they put into some of the lifeforms and landscapes is really surprising. Like, if I could give you one reason to see this movie, it's to see how stunning the film is.

You are missing out on the cinema experience of a lifetime. The trailer does this movie absolutely zero justice at all.

The story was predictable but it did what it had to do and was fun.

The graphics were the best i've ever seen ever. Easily the most immersive and grand movie experience of my life, and probably anyone who has seen it. The movie is absolutely gorgeous and will absolutely change film-making. After seeing that, seeing 2d is simply boring.

One thing I loved was the detail that went into the movie. Just imagine all the work that went into designing dozens of creatures and plant life, alongside all the human technology and creating a whole language. I can't imagine a movie with more detail put in it than this one.

Worth watching so you can sit back years from now and say "i saw this technology when it was new!"

I dont care about the graphics or anything. Apparently the trailer I watched gave me a good view of what the storyline is going to be, and the storyline sounds absolutely dreadful.

That said, I am a fan of CG so I may go see this movie even if the plot / etc may be overcooked garbage and sounds like it's from an FPS game.
