Lancer always gets screwed regardless of adaptation. It's like a recurring theme. =/ Maybe Nasu just hates the Irish or something.

Moshidora was supposed to be an experiment with the airing schedule. Whole show in two weeks, 1 episode per day.

Well the plot did screw him over in like every adaptation, but at least in the VN version of UBW, Lancer gets to be a complete badass several times before the plot screws him over.

Anyway, the fate route was just your generic boy meets girl love plot. Except the boy is retarded. It's boring sure, but Saber is Saber, you gotta love her even if she has inconsistencies in her character. *I've been turned into a HS to obtain teh holy grail, so my country can meet a better fate!* *We shouldn't hurt people, Shirou* *Fuck off and die Lancelot, the grail is mine and I'll take it over your dead body*
Fate route = your average typical love story. Which isn't anything bad really, but it's not exciting.
HF = the apocalypse. Sakura sucked more than just Shirou's **** the whole route. Maybe I just hate psychotic bitches... the route was hectic and different from the 2 previous ones which is why it was good.
UBW= MOAR Rin and servants. Overall my favourite route. Especially the good end where you end up with both Saber and Rin. I like it sugarcoated. The true end was good too. Just about everything that was bad about this route was both Shirous' fault.
And Tsukihime is SO about the far side of the moon routes. Ceil+Arc suck compared to the Tohno family.

Started with ZZ right after I finished the movies but I decided, after episode 3, that I will watch another series in between which will hopefully make me somewhat happier. And so far, it did. I really liked One Outs and Akagi seems to be pretty similar. The character design is "weird", but it's fine, it's not a significant part of an anime anyway. And the end of episode 4 was soo good. Really makes me wish that more anime had such a main character.

Akagi was pretty good, but they dragged the Washizu arc out for so long that it actually got kinda boring by the end. You should also give Kaiji a try once you finish Akagi. It's from the same mangaka, and the atmosphere is very similar. I personally liked Kaiji better since it was easier to empathize with the main character, but both series are good in their own right.

I think I'm just going to not comment about the Zeta Gundam stuff, other than say that I strongly disagree with your views on it. Other than those 2 kids onboard existed just to be annoying. I suppose you just have your own tastes, even if they seem crazy to me.
Also, if a godly show like Zeta Gundam disappointed you, IDK what you are going to think about ZZ Gundam... lol
