This adds depth to characters while making them feel more like real people. I hope it works out, i'm just not particularly confident with it doing so when I look at designs that look as if they been plagiarized by a university student the night before a the handin. I understand the desire to make this their own show. That's fine and good. Just put some fucking effort in maybe? Why does Yang look like a 16 year old boy just doing the navy. Seriously what the fuck? I don't disagree about presentation being important since the character designs, soundtrack and overall aesthetic was what allowed the script in the OVA's to shine. I just don't think that the animation quality during the space battles being poor will impact the experience much. I don't like the new designs either but I don't think they're the result of a lack of effort on PIG's part. I'm guessing the character designs deliberately look like that in order to attract the fujoshi crowd since most of LotGH is made up of handsome men. It's annoying how they're lowering the quality of the remake in order to increase sales but it's not surprising considering LotGH did not need a remake in the first place. | ||

The CGI is pretty meh. I think my biggest complaint is the music. It mimics what LoGH did with its OST, but the tone is very, very different. Good thing I avoid movies overall  Just finished episode 60 and + Show Spoiler + Yang has been arrested. I can kinda see how things are going to go. He gets freed, go and takes control. This whole thing leaks and you get some uprising or something. With the empire having problems there, they might have some issues with the Earth Cult too and add the fact that some of the admirals can probably be enticed and it's a full blown mess. Question to the people who read the LotGH novels, Is Yang laid-back like in the OVA's or is he more of an sarcastic asshole ? | ||

I thought I was just against the notion that everyone on the show is supposed to be a loli because of the faces. nene Hajime is a motion designer, the rest is doing normal design stuff. Kou is the Art Director, so basicly the boss for the Art Team. and while I did hate nene in s1 I don't think she's thaaaat bad anymore in s2. She probably is still worse than Aoba though, you're right. And Hajime is somewhere with them as well. Yun in criminally underappreciated though Speaking of Gamers, I got the impression that the animation quality suddenly turned really to shit this week. The rest was fine though | ||
