Also, has anyone else noticed the trend of shows which center or are focused around more traditional Japanese subjects (like, say, shogi... rakugo... rural Japanese town rejuvenation) seem to be more likely to be straight two-cour runs or even two season runs? Or was 3Gatsu and Rakugo just that popular? (Not sure on Sakura Quest, but it does have some interesting real world issues hiding in that SoL.) | ||

Sakura quest just got 2 cours cause pa works was riding on Shirobako hype. I don't think sakura quest lived up to it. | ||

Anyone know if Gamers! is good? I was led to believe it would be a rom-com about awkward nerds, is this accurate? Or is it one of those shows where they just say it's romance and tag it as romance but really it's "watch these kids fail to confess their feelings for 12 episodes and only at the very end does anything actually happen, btw read the source material if you wanna know what happens next"? OTOH I thought Tsurezure Children was really nice this season... | ||
