Coming from the GS, GSD and Gundam 00, the fighting scenes were refreshing without having lasers shooting everywhere. Overall, I enjoyed the series.

You guys probably hate when people coming in asking for anime recommendations, but any good comedic animes of 2016 like Prison School/Devil is a Part-Timer (over the top/goofy/lewd)?
Haven't watched anime since end of Naruto and Kuroko's Basketball, thought I'd try and get back into it with something recent and comedic.

Also heard good things about this one. https://myanimelist.net/anime/32542/Sakamoto_desu_ga didn't watch it, but from screen caps I've seen, looks pretty over the top and goofy.

+ Show Spoiler [ Shinsekai Yori] +Just finished Shinsekai Yori and it was amazing, this show nailed absolutely everything (characters, setting, pacing, themes, etc etc). I was hesitant to watch it initially because I was spoiled on queerats being "humans", something I thought was the big twist, but it actually made me enjoy the show more knowing that. It was also foreshadowed very frequently over the course of the show so i'm guessing you were expected to think something was up anyway.
The conflict was interesting in the sense that we don't usually see dystopia stories primarily through the eyes of the oppressors rather than the victims wich was a nice change of pace. Still almost all characters did truly despicable things for understandable reasons so there's not really such a thing as good or bad in this scenario (as it should be).
It's ironic considering the main reason why I started watching this show over others was because I needed more HDD space and SSY was 40 gigs but now I'm hesitant to delete the files lol.

I kinda wish they would animate the DxD side Story with the kids. Would be cool to see all their designs.

I thought the fighting was pretty good, better than GS and GSD obviously. I thought they werent boring but thats personal opinion. Season 2 IBO, i think there was possibly more fighting than S1. I didnt get into Age.

The whole igloo being destroyed, that was Maria's doing when she relocated with Mamarou but after that, did that other queerat convince them to stay at their place then when Maria gave birth, her cantus was at its weakest and Mamarou didn't have much in him so they easily overwhelmed them? I could go on and on because as we saw, that child was what changed the whole war. True, the strategic and guerilla type warfare helped them greatly especially against the unprepared humans but beating the hornets in perfect fashion, killing a ton of people including Shirsei who was the strongest cantus user etc... accounted for a ton of fear that rendered humans helpless. Btw, guys, since I've seen this mentioned here, the child is not a fiend! Fiends would attack any and everything living, however, she was only targeting humans because she was raised to believe that she is a queerat from day one and had a death feedback if she killed one of them which is how they killed her in the end.
On the whole DNA topic, I gotta agree with whoever said that its good confirmation when you consider they also looked at dental records. I don't see why they can't do it especially given that Maria and Mamarou run away at the age of 14 then Tomoko said that when they would've been 26 (someone gave their child an age of 10 years so they would've been 17 at the time). There was more than enough to check the DNA and no time constraints with that timeline. Even if the age/gender bit was faked, there was still other evidence to back up the idea that it was them. I only thought that maybe she was lying because she wanted to avoid Saki getting disciplined or even gotten rid of, however, thinking back on it and the situation they were in, we know that Tomoko has always spoke of doing what's good for society.
I don't blame society for getting so mad at Squealer that they opted for the eternal hell punishment. My god, the pain must've been unimaginable. Likewise, I don't blame them for laughing at him when he said that he was human. Ignorance is bliss. What really pisses me off though is that it felt like their society completely closed itself off to previous human actions as in it didn't seem like they tried to teach their students any information about history but everything seemed to focus on doing what's best for society (fiend on bridge, cut rope or if karma demon, walk into a lake to die; makes sense why they did it though). I don't forsee any quick changes happening, at least, not until the people realize that queerats have a link to humans. It is really sad overall though. PK users suppress non-PK users by turning them into beasts so that they can easily use their cantus against them while maintaining their own rules of society. Makes me wonder just how many from the higher ups of society actually know about queerats have human origins.

I'm also trying to watch shinsekai yori. People keep saying how good it is, but I've tried watching it on 4 separate occasions already, and have never gotten past the first 2 episodes
I was hoping this time would be different, because I decided I'd be determined to stick it out, but here I am again, 2 weeks later, still only seen the first 2 episodes - AGAIN.

I think Shinsekai yuri would be a fun show if you watch it backwards
