Fine overall. There were some serious plot-holes towards the end - e.g. it made no sense that Jean suddenly knew everything from the very beginning. The whole bread, sweets, cake, bread, sweets and bread topic taking half the screen time wasn't helping, either. I liked the ending though. I think it could have been a lot better if they scrapped the bread stuff and spent the time to write a coherent story instead.
Interesting concept but I think they added too many characters to the equation. Some of them had little to no relevance. They should have stuck with Hanabi, Mugi, the two teachers and Ecchan. That way they would have had more time to explore the interesting topics because I felt those were really well done. I especially liked the inner monologues of Hanabi. I can't remember any anime where I liked a rather insecure, selfish highschool girl but Hanabi is somehow one of the better female characters I have seen in anime so far. I think the last two episodes were really strong. The development of Akane was well done imho and the ending was really strong as well. Even though the show has lots of faults I have to admit that I enjoyed it a lot. Speaking from an enjoyment-perspective only this is probably number 1 this season for me (except for the parts with the blond girl, fuck her...).
