I think hot spring is being made into an animu. But hot spring and vending machine are LN only afaik. Dragon has manga adaptation, not many chapters out but it's passable.
I meant things, and I know of dragon(checked the manga a while ago) and slime is one of my favorites.

I get maybe not falling into Angel Beats' trap in one episode... but yeah, TTGL usually isn't something that winds up being "boring" if only because wtf is going on now.
In the meantime, I'm actually working my way through Spice & Wolf and reading Fuuka. S&W is a little frustrating from time to time, if only because dammit kiss the girl.

To be fair, 1 episode isn't enough to give a fair assessment of Angel Beats'. It was on my to-watch list for a long time and I've been meaning to check it out so randomly watched the first episode. Nothing special so far but I'll need couple more episodes to make a final judgement call.

TTGL is indeed good and fun, but its also true that its reputation is fairly overblown.

TTGL isn't as insane as some anime I've watched (granted, older things... DragonHalf for example, and Experimental Quack Anime Excel Saga) but it's pretty over the top. It's pretty good for its niche, though.

Took me 2 times to get into TTGL as well. Saw the first episode, and then kind of just stopped cause it wasn't that interesting. But for some reason tried it a second time a few months or years later, and somehow got past a few ep where it began to ramp up for me in interest.

Okay, well, I just finished reading the entirety of Fuuka as far as CR has it. So, while I can certainly agree that the anime is not as good of a story as the manga was, it did in fact fulfill what I imagine is the primary purpose of most anime adaptations.

TTGL needs to be watched. It does take some time because the MC/2nd MC is kinda bleh, but it ramps up immensely. + Show Spoiler +THEY THROW GALAXIES AT EACH OTHER MAN!!

I put TTGL on hold at ep 5 or 6 as well and yes I was bored at the time.
From time to time that happens to me. Honey & Clover is also on that list, lol.
