I'd definitely recommend the recap movies for rewatches, they're pretty bare-bones by themselves because of all the content they skim through (mostly the first movie) but the tighter pacing makes it so much more enjoyable if you've already seen the show. I also prefer the second movie over the second act of the anime for the same reason as above and it's also way more hype.

The first movie I don't remember as worth it, and while the second movie is popular, I think it kinda shits the bed when with how it redoes the final battle.

Just watched final episode of Gabriel Dropout. Really good episode aside from one minor flaw for me:
+ Show Spoiler +the fact that she just completly runs away in the end because of the dog? Wasn't she fine with the poodle in the beginning? Not that this needs some kind of coherent story or anything but I was a bit annoyed at what, to me, felt like a cop-out. But the rest of the episode was great. Time to rewatch and maybe I did miss something so that it makes a bit more sense, who knows

You are right, but tbh I just turn my brain off when watching these comedies. Works best, so I didn't even think about it and it doesn't bother me.

Also watched the specific episode, the part with the parade was a bit disappointing short, but the anime is pretty fun and entertaining.

I haven't watched it either. In fact I dropped it because I didn't like it! That's a stronger case for getting something out of my head than not wanting to watch it in the first place imo

I remember that, that one girl was taking band seriously, and it prompted you to make some huge rant and even went to the effort of making this big flow chart to show why she shouldn't. It was pretty funny 9/10.
