Most manga I read don't seem to get updates regularly Only Tower of God seems to be able to deliver each week (Except when he is on break or whatever). .
oh man tower of god.. I remember reading it every week when it was first coming out.. I stopped some 20 chapters after baam got revived sort-to say I barely remember anything though.. Has it come a far way? Is it worth starting to read from 0 to remember everything and catch up to the current events?
It is, i specifically paid extra to order it from a place that puts a lot of care into shipping their books could've gotten it cheaper but then i wouldn't have been sure to get it in good quality
Smart man. I remember a couple ppl on reddit complain about how their S&W book arrived with heavy damage to the cover(s). I mean, you obv like the series enough to invest in something like that. Would be sad if it arrived in anything but mint. zz

I feel like they are rushing a lot of it now that this is the final season. So I don't think you'll get the full effect. I would suggest reading the manga starting from the Shogun Assassination arc. It's really great and emotional read.

The thing with TOG (or maybe it's just me having a bad memory) is that so many things happen that you quickly forget about the past events :O
The most fun I had with the serie was when I first discovered it and read multiple chapters per session. The weekly wait kills some of the story

yeah that's kind of why I stopped aswell. the creator also took a break of a month or few so that killed it for me
Other topic : Man, Hinamatsuri is such a funny manga. I'm thoroughly surprised it doesn't have an anime. Its format would just be perfect for an animation, each .. event... being roughly the length of an anime episode and such. Shouganai wa..
Thanks for reminding me about Hinamatsuri, a bunch of new chapters have been translated this month. I don't think being animated would really improve the source though but the exposure would be nice, Hinamatsuri is veryfunny but also very unpopular for some reason :/
Just finished watching Haibane Renmei. Good anime, overall 9/10.
Pacing was great, never felt too slow or too fast and the build up was good overall. May not have been the most action-oriented anime but I believe that's part of its draw. Music fit really well and the overall suspense was great. My only concern is that it felt like they could have expanded on what was going on. + Show Spoiler +
There are theories floating around regarding who the Haibane around etc... Some are stating that they believe that they committed suicide and are being given a chance at redemption. It would make sense if you consider someone like Rakka maybe jumped off a building and the raven was a family or friend who tried to help prevent this. This lines up with her dream.
Reki is a bit harder but can be explained as well though others like Nemu's dream makes it difficult to see how suicide could have been a factor. Other theories are that the Haibane died with an attachment to the real life, basically, they had to work on moving on and only those who are Sin-bound committed suicide.
Also, I wish they explored what was beyond the wall and we got a better idea of the overall story. We heard Kuu's laughter but that's all we know. If you are not sin-bound, eventually you get your day of flight. While if you are sin-bound, you have to get salvation etc... I was hoping they'll have them find out what happens when they take flight, even if it's just Rakka. Sure, leave some things to the imagination but cmon, you can come up with lots of theories about the story. The author quite likely kept all those details hidden on purpose and while I do agree with the premise, just another hint or two couldn't have hurt at all.
Regardless, it's still a good anime. Only other odd part was Rakka accepting things. She was wondering halfway through about the wall and everything. Then, she falls into the well and starts to accept how things are. I would've figured that she'll be a bit more rebellious but I guess having Reki there who had prior experience would've reduced the chance of that happening anyways since she was protecting her.
Kanna is great as well. I don't know how I feel about her since she's so young. I think when we get more Elma, she'll jump to the top of the list, giving Tohru a run for her money. And Fafnir is just...Fafnir haha. He's a highlight of the show as well. I love how they play with his dilemma of wrestling with his feelings. I have a feeling he's gonna go all Tohru on his roommate one of these episodes.

didn't they already do that Fafnir episode? Kind of? Maybe not full Tohru but he said he considers his roommate a friend.
And Kanna is not there to be lewded, she's just great. Nothing wrong with liking her
