So, after tokyo ghoul's ending episode, there's a literal shit storm of people raging about how it ended/how different it was from the manga and whatnot. I'm over here like....you all knew it was gonna be anime original from the beginning right? Everybody knew that. Everybody should also have known the mangaka came on as a supervisor and helped direct it into something different from the manga b/c he wanted to tell a different story. That's also been known. These kids are just going bat shit crazy over TG. It wasn't even that good all season long. Like seriously, interesting premise, but terrible terrible storytelling.

episode 11, she actually gets away with the instrument, sits on a bridge (most likely not one that crosses a road because dropping a tuba onto a driving car is dangerous kids) thinking about the times she had with it [note: in relation to her dad+instrument and being forced to play it, not the times she had with the instrument and her friends!] and gets mad before actually trashing the thing. Her friends find her, just as the thing falls down/deforms into irrecognizability (is that a word? Important slow motion scene of her instrument getting trashed as it hits the ground though), talk to her and she discovers the love she's always had for the instrument she thought she hated when really it was just her being a bitch yelling "I don't wanna" for the sake of being a rebellious little shit. She remembers all the fun times she has had with her friends playing together, shit gets teary as she looks down at what used to be her instrument, they all hug each other and cry.
episode 12 fast-forward, they show how the girls spend time getting money to get her a new instrument (that's shown really quickly, like 60 seconds), time-skip a month later, they're sitting in their band room / school's music room having fun playing the intruments they love so much and they're playing better than they ever did before.

What do I get if that's the story? Now to read the synopsis of it and see if any of that actually makes sense.
