After all, his films in generally tend to be thematic symbolism first, and everything else second. I haven't seen a single one yet that I'd describe as "dart-board symbolism" or "you can draw what you want from it". Since of all the ones I've seen, Oshii knows what he wants you to draw from it, and he will beat that into your skull with talking heads until either you get it, or the movie ends. | ||

From what I understand, they were for like the complete opposite from the manga lol so it's not even close now XD the problem i have is the studio is using the term "anime original" too loosely and brute forced too much of the manga panels into the anime. i dont expect a full adaptation because of episode constraints but things that could have been left out were kept and things that probably shouldve been kept to make the storyline more cohesive were cut. i can go more in depth into this but they are spoilers. and i am still wondering when will we actually see the consequence of kaneki's decision because so far it didnt make much of a difference. | ||
