From what I heard I expected a slow developing romance but there was no romance whatsoever. The character interaction was really cold and steril, with it's only purpose being a channel for comedic scenes. The first two episodes have been fairly boring but after I got used to it I laughed out loudly a lot. This show was pure comedy and a good one at that. 7/10, would recommend. One of the funniest things I've taken away from my last year of really getting into anime is how differently people rate things. I have a friend who will rant at me for 30 minutes about how a show was shit and all thes tuff it did bad, and he'll rate it a 6/10. Then others will really like a show (as you seemed to like Nozaki-kun), and rate it a 7/10. Random thought, sorry. :D

If you're actually starting at 0 as absolutely awful then a 7 for a show is pretty damn good. Kind of makes sense though because if someone actually rated a show a 0-4 they probably wouldn't have finished it in the first place (bar some kind of masochism). I have nothing rated a 1 to always have the possibility to make something "the worst thing I've ever seen in my life". That being said: ![]() I really need to update my MAL again, but yeah there's a bias towards better than 5 because most things in the range of 0-4 I just drop instead of finishing, as well as picking things I think I'll like to begin with.

I think this is the biggest part of it, I filter my shows fairly heavily. I don't watch stuff that I don't have a reason to think will be good, so the really bad stuff never even gets started. If I start something and it's really just not good, I don't finish it. On my list, I think the lowest rating is a 5, so it's like Ruski said, seems like the scale is 5-10 instead of 1-10. + Show Spoiler [Shigatsu Ep 20] + Dang, chain reaction of feels this episode only 2 episodes left, kinda feels like it's in a rush to finish though. Feels like if it had 2 more episodes it'd have a little more time to develop the ending, guess we'll see though.

Anyway think KnK is far better than FSN anyway. Oh yeah, I think that's about right. Yeah, the rape stuff is somewhat off putting. I literally watch/read jp stuff to feel happy. On March 06 2015 04:58 Slaughter wrote: And FSN just has sex scenes as thought up by a 9 year old who just happened to overhear bits and pieces of two 13 year olds talking about a porn they saw. lolololol, Kipsate, your response to this? edit: Slaughter: The sex scenes are the only things bad about fsn. Rest of the 60+ hours is god tier me: ahh k Btw, anyone read Usagi Drop?

interesting concepts but at the time i just didn't have the motivation to take the energy and understand what they were actually trying to convey think i went in with the completely wrong mindset as i was expecting some kind of mindless easy to digest f/sn type shit

On my list, I think the lowest rating is a 5, so it's like Ruski said, seems like the scale is 5-10 instead of 1-10. My "completed" list is also biased towards 5+. But that's more because I filter the my shows heavily beforehand, like you, or drop them after a few episodes if I think they are nothing for me. The only shows in my list I rated 5 and lower _and_ completed (only a handful so far) are either short shows that start of strong and degenerate quickly but I don't want to drop them (for example Another, A/Z) or have been recommended to me by friends so I want to complete them. Or, as Ruski describes it, there are some examples of me just being a masochist where I continue a show I would have usually dropped (such as Yurikuma currently, would probably rate it 2/10 atm. but I don't want to drop it despite it making me mad o.O). On the other hand, I also rate shows on my "dropped" list and that's usually where the lower end of the scales ends up. I don't think a lot of people do this and that's another cause why shows are generally rated so highly at MAL.

People exaggerate stuff. I guess because they so used to turning off their brains. You don't have to get everything (Like origins and all of Shiki's personality stuff) to enjoy it on the first watch through imo. Also helps being fucking gorgeous.
