If anything... I still care about the characters and want some closure, but the way they loom this impending death flag over our heads doesn't make for a compelling reason to keep watching. I didn't come to this show for a constant sense of despair for Arima, and actually kind of want Kaori to, you know, not get shit on as a plot convenience for him. It sucks, 'cause she's a good character in her own right, but still projects this pure-support image.
