except this last episode was more about love, true love, familial love and friendship love much more than anything sex related. But yes, the majority of the allegory is based in lesbianism.
Plus I'd like to add that typically stories based heavily in allegory are weird for me. While i usually do understand the hidden meanings and subtleties they always just feel like i'm not getting it.

hmm. Well they have yet to show any form of male homosexuality, only female, so it's not unsafe to say lesbianism. But for the most part you're right, it's technically more about homosexuality in general and to pander to the viewers they go with Yuri instead of Yaoi. Still, if they don't actively make a point of male homosexuality, you can get away with only discussing female homosexuality.

Gintama made me have a 180 opinion on some J-rock. I had only heard really weak male Japanese vocalists so I just kind of wrote off all male J-rock I heard as crap.
Has a few other good OP's and a couple other good ED's.
It has a a couple other good songs in it's OST but they're hard to find between the music that's more just for the atmosphere of Gintama. Jirocho* fight music was epic though.

Just looked-up the synopsis of that manga, and man, I bet that's gonna stir-up some controversy.
Finally started Bakuman Season 3 now that I've forgotten many of the plot's finer details, and I'm glad I did. I love every little scene I get of their manga or anime adaptations. While I loved the amount of manga we literally got to read through at times in the, well, manga, seeing the anime adaptations actually animated is a cool bonus of the... anime.

No they still are just toys being moved with sci-fi tech with simulated weaponry. If they were life sized that would be extremely difficult to view. The point of view is just scaled down so it looks life size.

Essentially, I like to describe it as a combination of G-Gundam and Yu-Gi-Oh.
Show has a lot of Yu-Gi-Oh influences. Both turn things that children play with like Gundam Models and Trading Cards and turns it into an E-Sport. And in Build Fighters, they use holograms and magical particles to fight in a virtual environment. Hologram and magic, much like Yu-Gi-Oh.
Global tournament involving pitting Gundams against each other is where the G Gundam influences come in.
