Only thing I don't really like is how... one dimension it is, I suppose. None of the side-characters seem to really have much purpose or personality. I mean, we had one girl find out that one Parasite was in the school, confront him, fall out a damn window, and she hasn't even been seen since then. All the female characters seem to fall into the category of "In love with him/his mother/a parasite", and the male characters all are "wants to fight him/his father/a parasite". Not to mention the main character basically had a harem BEFORE becoming cool, which makes no sense given he didn't really stand out at all. Doesn't really seem like there's much direction either. Shinichi (I think that's his name) started out like he wanted to do something, then he quickly gave up and has pretty much just been going with the flow since then. Which makes little sense, given he constantly mentions he's the only one that can do things to stop them and Migi doesn't seem opposed to killing them. I mean, it's a fun ride, but seems like the author had a really cool idea and just can't expand on it too well. For all the times Shinichi talks about if he's still human, he cares surprisingly little about actually being human or other people beyond if they're killed or not. Which is a fine point, but it can't really be explored unless there are humans who actually try and interact with him. | ||

Fun show, enjoying it, but lots of missed potential, I think. This weeks Shirobako was really interesting, one of those episodes that makes you feel like you're actually learning shit about the industry lol. Shigatsu bopped me right in the feelers. | ||
