What's bad about being like the Capture God? well I am sure we all share our similarities with him but I am a upholder of everything in moderation policy Well I mean, I hate real life, and play games all day. And I hate real life girls (yet I'm good at talking to them). And I would totally do what Keima did at the beginning of ep 4, just swallowing the toast whole while never looking away from my game. xD I just wish my life had someone cute like Elsee ;_; Have you ever played any Visual Novel and/or Eroge? No. Well they are pretty fun and entertaining reads. and I must say there is certain level of satisfaction when clearing storylines. Some are definitely good reads out there that has good storyline and drama. Clannad and Kanon being prime examples since KEY is so dam popular. I wouldn't say the KEY ones are good with storyline. :p My friends who don't go to TL are all obsessed with Type-Moon. I did a full clear on School Days the other day finally done collecting all the bad endings Sengoku Rance is an awesome gameplay based Eroge, if you don't mind its ummm extremely X Rated contents
No, I don't mind X-rated. For some reason, I don't mind (even like) X-rated stuff when it's anime-related, but I hate real life porn.

It's not like they're for sale in the US. You would read them the same way most people watch anime. Find translations+torrents.

i dont think shauni reads manga but vaguely trolling by i think he'd enjoy the lucifer and biscuit hammer.

Oh my god, Shin Mazinger's ending is such a huge cliff hanger.... Its already been a year since it aired, and is there any word on a sequel? Maybe Shin Great Mazinger, or Shin Mazinkaiser? If no sequel gets made, then that ending is right up there with Berserk-anime's ending. Except without the gore and raping.

They better come out with one I can't rest until Baron Ashura dies, S/he lived way too long compared to the other villains in that series

But damn, if they don't make a sequel after that ending, I will be very angry.

Yosuga no Sora was a hilarious trainwreck of an episode this week. I literally couldn't stop laughing through the last two thirds of the ep. It felt like they were just speeding through the story. I mean, we go from a flashback to a sudden "I love you" (which he didn't even hear) to an h-scene out of fucking nowhere. And it's the first episode of the arc! At least the soundtrack and art continue to be awesome.
Edit: Well I guess it's technically the third episode, but whatever.

Yosuga no Sora is testing the boundaries of how close you can make the ero part true to the original game while killing every other aspects of it on an all-age, albeit late night, airing.

They explain enough that you'll be able to get most things, and in the majority of the situations you don't really get a view of the whole board, so it usually comes down to the narration to tell you that some moves will be the key.

Thanks, good to know. Looking at the subbing groups...I guess AHQ-->?-->R-F is the way to go?

Hey, I'm pretty new to anime. I really liked "Ghost in the Shell" and i'd like to watch more anime movies of that caliber. Do any of you have any recommendations whether it be a movie or a tv show etc? When i mean "that caliber" i mean it has a good story and it's entertaining, then again i suppose that still is vague. I guess just don't recommend something like those "cute" anime shows or whatever.
Thank you, I have no idea where to start looking otherwise.

So, somebody mentioned Sengoku Rance some pages back (and recently) and I went and played it. It was surprisingly fun, are there any others like it? Particularly the game-play aspect of it not merely clicking 5 times and getting CG's. I've also played and enjoyed TtT and Castle Fantasia after SR, but they weren't as entertaining, anything other recommendations?

Baccano! Black Lagoon Darker than Black Durarara Kara no Kyoukai (Series of 7 movies. Expect to be utterly confused until movie 4) Denpateki na Kanojo (I doubt you've seen much yandere stuff so this might be a nice change of pace <_<) Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex (it's the tv series)
I avoided recommending romance/shoujo titles and most slice of life shows. It'd be easier if you specified an actual genre or at least something more specific.

Actually Type-Moon has four, if you also take the two fun discs into equation ( Tsukihime -> Kagetsu Tohya, Fate Stay Night -> Fate Hollow Ataraxia), also their new one ,Mahōtsukai no Yoru is supposed to come out this year.

Like we don't know that, and Mahoutsukai no Yoru looks like it'll get pushed to next year at this rate to me. If we want to count fandisc kind of materials, then the plus disc from Tsukibako should also qualify because of it featuring a story. There, 5.
Typically I don't see people counting fandiscs as separate VNs.

In terms of translated stuff I don't know how many SLGs made it out, but if you will stomach AGTH+Atlas, then look for earlier stuff from Softhouse Chara and Alicesoft. Xuse's Aselia and Seinarukana are both excellent choices if you want a more RPG type play.
If you mean that kind of Nobunaga's Ambition esque playstyle though not too many like that outside of Alicesoft's games, at least nothing that I'd call quality.
