WTH they didn't? Anyway, I prefer Chaika over Scrapped Princess (which I watched last month), simply because the three main chars in it all were so slow/boring. Still wasn't bad though.
As for Gintama which I mentioned some days ago, I slowly begin to like it a lot. Definitely will watch all of it over time.

+ Show Spoiler + Choosing between Kurisu/Mayuri is what I expected. Also thought there might be the possibility of Okarin dying and both of them living. Don't get me wrong, I am happy it ended with them all alive, but I felt like they prepped us so much for a death that it should of happened. There weren't enough feels with the good ending. I'm assuming there are death routes in the VN though, maybe I willl play that. Still one of my favourite anime that I've seen so far.
On another note, not sure what to start next. Thinking Toradora, maybe Shinsekai Yori? I still haven't seen Clannad, lol. I'm so behind on a lot of the classic anime

i haven't seen clannad afterstory tho and i heard that was leaps and bounds better than its prequel

Clannad s1 is uhm average i guess i didn't particularly like it too but yeah Clannad After Story is the real deal.
Toradora has it's moments but not that great as well.

Toradora ... either my subs sucked, the references are tooooooooo out there, or Minorin often made no fucking sense when talking. Still liked it at the time though and it probably still holds up.

Clannad is average and is only useful as a set up for After Story, and its totally worth going through all of Clannad to get to After Story.

WHAT A PERFORMANCE! The music, the art, the animation, the facial expression. Stunning. Kaori is so gorgeous.
Then WTF happened.
The title being "Departure" did not sound fun, given that Kaori visited the hospital last ep. Anime name being "Your Lie in April", then Watari said May is coming soon (aka April is ending), not fun number 2. Scary mom scene opening, not fun number 3 (not as relevant though). Kaori's facial expression when she was performing got a tint of sadness and that ending, not fun. Not to mention the next ep titled "Dark Skies". Yeah, not fun at all
Seriously, the vibrant colors give out a cheerful and happy feel for this anime, even those random out of place humours, I totally expected this to be a hearty sweety lovey romance anime, even having some sad moments is fine. Heck Arima is always fine despite his head bleeding river many times. However this seem to go down the tragic path, Im not sure if my heart can take it. Kaori seems like someone at the end of her life, trying to live the rest of the days to the fullest and have everyone "remember her". Total tragedy.
MAL doesn't tag it as tragedy though, unless they tag it wrong, I still have slim hope for happy ending. I mean why having Kaori helping Arima out of his depression only to die and make Arima go depressed and stop playing piano again right.

Shigatsu episode 4
+ Show Spoiler +Wow, first episode where Kaori wasn't obnoxious! This episode was probably the best so far and did a good job of portraying what anxiety can feel like. Who knows, maybe Kaori can even redeem herself. It seems painfully obvious that she has a very serious disease with her collapsing and going to the hospital in the previous episode.
The 'comedy' skits still feel so out of place in this series. I definitely feel the series would've been strictly better without them. Infact they're probably one of my biggest gripes with the series.
