i like toradora mainly because of how ryuuji was, i liked the fact he wasnt super gorgeous/model playboy like you u see in alot of other anime XD (but i guess he does have 2 pretty+a model girls chasing after him  )
although speaking of model gorgeous male leads i super super enjoyed Tonari no Kaibutsu and Sukitte Ii na yo

I still somewhat enjoy it tho. MioYui vs Ui is tough. I don't know which is love and which is life. Also thought there might be the possibility of Okarin dying and both of them living. Don't get me wrong, I am happy it ended with them all alive, but I felt like they prepped us so much for a death that it should of happened. There weren't enough feels with the good ending. There's a reason that Toradora is usually recommended and is quite often used as a benchmark. It's because it gets it right! The show manages to combine comedy and romance in a way that has been unreplicable by other anime to date. It's art quality, sound and animation are superb leaving you with an unforgettable experience! So, does this mean that other anime are bad? no, not necessary. It just means that Toradora is that good!!!!! Think of it like Starcraft: Toradora is the Flash of BW. Lots of builds, solid mechanics and amazing decision making skills that propel it to the top of the pack. Other anime are like the random A and B teamers. They have some skills but need a lot of work to even come close. You may get the S-class player here and there that seem to compete only to fall by the wayside as things heat up. Toradora is comedy! Toradora is romance! Toradora is love! <3 ps if you hate love, you hate Toradora by definition! For shame! :O After the first few episode, I'm pretty sure I kept watching just for Ami. Pretty much.

I came here with a purpose and was completely sidetracked by that utter ridiculousness znf. Well played my friend.
ANYWAYS, I finally caved and dled/installed my first VN. Not the best choice for my metaphorical VN cherry but i decided to start with Grisaia no Kajitsu (mostly because I didn't want to spend time each week to watch the anime as I'm already following too much this season for me to keep up with my school/work/life schedule....I figured, i can just grind this out real quick and be done with it...boy was I wrong there , haha). Anyways, it's not bad I guess (the VN part). I donno about this, I mean, it's basically just reading manga but with voice overs and very very slight "actions"...it seems to be just a step less boring than manga ( IMO ) which is really just looking at still pictures (very dull to my instant gratification need for speed American view on entertainment).
Now onto the actual content? I still haven't reached the split into the different endings yet, (i can't tell how far I really am into this. is that normal?). Anyways, I really just came here to say Makina is fucking hilarious. Maybe not waifu material, but still...saving this thing one insane line at a time. + Show Spoiler +"What blasphemy! Edit: Like Sentenal said, it's a visual novel, so expect a lot of reading. Grisaia was my second VN (Katawa Shoujo being my first) and Grisaia is an epic shit ton of reading in comparison. Each girl's route can take up to 8-10 hours, depending on how fast you read but before all of that, there's the common route where you have to sift through. The path choice are really minimal, even with the first three choices being moot afaik. In all, I found Grasaia very enjoyable and a humongous time sink.
Makina does have a potty mouth but I can't attest to the translation accuracy. Maybe Ecael can chime in.

Hmm, It's not that I'm complaining that it's basically reading, I actually love reading books, it's usually my go to when i'm looking for something I enjoy doing in some free time. But like, in novels and such my imagination is let loose and I can think up really awesome images for what i'm reading. This is sort of like forcing my imagination into submission which puts a damper on the overall experience for myself (i guess that's the best way of putting it). I donno that's probably not how i want to put it but i'm not really into thinking to hard on it myself.
Also, if I was forced to choose a girl (as waifu material) I would probably choose Sachi then probably Amane (I like sachi's sincerity and naivete. I also really like Amane's bluntness and straightforward style...In an ideal world my perfect girl would be the one to make the first move which is in Amane's character).
But why limit yourself? This is fantasy anyways, why not just take the whole lot?
