Heck, they even had the gall to have a flashback in the final episode of Niidaime which showed a scene from her arc...
Yeah I noticed that once Nidaime started but I guess I didn't pay any mind because they were hinting at the coupling for like 5 episodes before Genshiken 2 ended. I'll check out the manga later this weekend hopefully it'll stick.
Edit: Is her arc just about her and Sasahara or does it involve more of her past?

Having only read the manga, I don't know how much of Ogiue's backstory is covered in the anime, but the manga does explore her past. By the way, their relationship and the way they develop it is probably one of the most adorable stories I've read. IMO, UBW is better as a movie series, and HF is better as a series.
HF:
* More SoL
* Lots of foreshadowing
* Small skirmishes and event
So each episode will have some build up events, maybe 1-2 small fights (Vs Rider, Vs Zouken at the temple, etc...). It'll eventually build up to an epic 5 parter conclusion starting from Nine Bullets Revolver to the end. Guess what Sakura? Its spring again
UBW:
* Lots of action scene
* Fast paced
* Clear cutting place
Easier to cut into multiple movies. Movie 1 ends with + Show Spoiler +. Movie 2 with + Show Spoiler +Dr. Gilgamesh the heart surgeon
The only problem is that HF is dependent on UBW and Fate for world and character building, so UBW must finish showing in theaters before HF can start
