This dialog in nutshell. It's totally okay to have preferences, but because you don't like American Psycho, or, not the best analogue possible, but whatever, Hellraiser, it doesn't automatically mean you can say that it has all bad traits of 50 Shades of Gray and Twilight series, and none good of them in public without being accociated with a certain target group (casual fans in our case)
Some people at /m/ have enjoyed Seed and Seed Destiny more than they probably should for a variety of reasons (me included) , but don't kid yourselves it's regarded as an exact analogue of Twilight in the Gundam franchise. I couldn't really imagine how one can defend Relena or/and Wing series from a Lacus kneejerk circle if it involves downgrading their much preferred characters to a mere piece of distasteful furtniture status, but let me try here for a reference.
+ Show Spoiler +Relena was a smart, noble, enthusiastic, supportive, faithful, strict, frank, well-spoken lady with good and arguably realistic intentions at heart, who beared full responsibilitiess for all her actions and mistakes. She had a stoic personality, but never risked the lives of her friends or supporters, didn't abuse given powers, didn't have stupid brother complex, didn't act as a "omg I am so defenseless and fragile, help" flamebait or "love me as I am or gtfo, stupid dog" tyrant. Hadn't betrayed her ideals in the end, didn't turn into cynical old hag or carefree heartbroken whore or hopeless braindamaged autist with space magic power, didn't blindly follow her love interest everywhere, had developed the love interest for MC right from the start, instead of jumping on the most popular guy, didn't interfere in others' personal lives and was largely respected during the enitre run even by her opponents. For Gundam series, it should be more than enough to be considered being at least a decent female character.
TLDR: I am not saying that "you're wrong", I am telling you I can't "really feel ashamed" for bringing this topic/character up.

Seto no Hanayome - everything is really over emphasized to the point where all the characters / situations are outrageous & they all act outrageously.. not even sure I liked it but the ideas behind the jokes are often hilarious. But still, the characters all have the same over reaction of yelling at each other way too often. Was in the same mood you are looking for comedies & am currently watching Binbougami ga! Started out semi-strong but seems to be going for a weak drama route. (7 eps in) thanks testie i watched most of you mentioned anyway and so i am going to go for nozaki kun as everyone recommended. cant believe Nichijou is still going on? it is some nice 'cold joke' comedy rofl i watched some episodes of it
Nichijou is over. 24 episodes. Will probably never get more seasons.

Personally, I found the first 4/5 episodes of Nichijou to be the worst. They're pretty lackluster relative to the rest of the episodes, so I'd give it maybe one/two/maybe three more episodes of your time before deciding whether you want to watch it. The style also changes a bit I think, but I could be misremembering.
In any case, yeah, just my two cents.

You keep saying she has character development, tell me ONE thing she developed during the entire series. From yourself:

Seriously, they just jump straight in and are like "yeah she got together with Sasahara in the end." Just ignore the fact that Genshiken 2 ended without resolving shit! Heck, they even had the gall to have a flashback in the final episode of Niidaime which showed a scene from her arc...

She becomes a pacifist and even teaches it in a school, makes Heero to rethink his decision about killing her after inspiring most faction to disarm except Traize's loyal group, once demoted comes into space to help her brother to escape death, refuses to kill anyone because it won't help to achieve true peace (sup, Lacus terminator bitch), knowingly pushes Heero away in the end of series, and was prepared to sacrifice herself for the greater good several times (sup, Lacus tyrant bitch),
As for impact on a main characters, she basically changed Heero's, Dorothy's and that Marie girl from OVA's worldview by her living example (sup, "Kira I love you, so you should do the exact right thing for me, you know" Lacus pastor bitch)
