Therefore, because not everything is unanimously loved and there's no objective way to measure taste, nothing is objectively good. So not only does all anime suck, so does everything else. Her little sister is better, Ruri is fun, Chitoge is a stock tsundere but at the very least has semblance of a personality, rich ojou-sama archetype is not as awful as Onodera because she's 1%, Tsugumi might be worse but she punches people so there's already more that she's done than Onodera, Tsugumi's random rival/nemesis is probably worse than Onodera but she also punches people so she's done more things than Onodera, new sister character actually made the plot run for like twelve pages instead of zero. The only one worse than Onodera is probably Raku for not realizing that Onodera is an awful waifu. | ||

I stopped reading a while ago. Clearly I have read the manga. Otherwise I wouldn't be so upset that I wasted so much time. It's one thing if Nisekoi had the same material as chapter 50 starting from chapter 1. Then I could discard it by chapter 0.5 and not care about it at all because I know it's just going to be a shitty manga. But when you have genuinely good material going for 40+ chapters (which, in my view, seems pretty good given the fact that it went to shit in such a fantastic fashion), it's so disappointing that the author suddenly decides to just butcher everything that was good about his story and focus his time on characters that are literally god awful. People like Eca, who are just bitter and old people, probably already knew in advance that something like Nisekoi couldn't go on for long before going into the garbage, and chuckle at the foolish (me!) who fall into such obvious traps, but I actually had optimistic hopes for Nisekoi. I'd actually say the first 40+ chapters are like....good/great range for me, which I think is pretty damn good given how generic and predictable it is.
