If you come in here looking for "anime recommendations" then please refer to this chart before posting: Anime Recommendations (as of may 2014). We also have an IRC channel called #tladt where we all hang out. The channel is on Rizon, not QuakeNet! Feel free to check it out. TLADT discord is Discord.gg

Looking for a recommendation, as I do once a year or so. I have trouble finding animes I like and unfortunately the chart does not help me much. I've also looked at a lot of fantasy/action lists but I find them hard to trust when they don't include any of the animes I like and most of the shows I check out are really not appealing to me.
Animes I like (roughly in order of preference): Claymore, Fairy Tail, Attack on Titan, FMA, Naruto, Death Note, Berserk
So mostly fantasy (currently trying Cowboy Bebop, but I do prefer historical settings to sci-fi). And almost all action + violent. Lots of dark, adult themes (and some raw childish fun with FT/Naruto). I also like overpowered/inspiring characters.

Stuff like Baccano is really fun, it's something I'd definitely recommend to newer anime watchers. If you have the time, I'd also recommend Monster, really great show.

So basically you like stuff all average viewer likes... and nothing out of top 20 popular. Hard to rec off that except go find other popular stuff.

I would suggest Darker than Black, nice action, good story and characters.

If you want OP, I recommend Mahouka. Knights of Sidonia is also another one that's action based and mech based as well. Not sure if there are other animes this past year which have all those similar stuff, will let you know if anything else comes to mind.

20 episodes later, and Nagi will be like "I WANT HER TO JUSTICE ME LIKE THAT."
I personally hope she dies next episode. Partly because that since its Hanakana, who seems to have found a new typecast, I think I already have a good idea what they are going to do with this character.
It always has to be all or nothing. I like how soon after he learns that Sakura is a master its all of a sudden he has to make a decision of his ideal or Sakura. He has no idea what she is like as a master (i am assuming she becomes evil or w/e so he has to make this choice later) but the set up is so over dramatic "She is a master now......CHOOSE IDEAL OR HER".

You gotta have a mind of steel when confronted with such choices.
So I finished Tsukihime(short compared to FSN I suppose, a lot of reused scenes tho and I guess due to the lack of voices I ''read'' faster, in FSN I enjoy all the voice acting to the max apart from Sakura who annoys the fuck out of me with senpai), did all routes apart from Ciel, True ones and Arcuids good one(just loaded a save)
I thought it was really well done, Arcueid's one was simple, straightforward and playful, she has reasonably good chemistry with Shiki(As do all of the other girls I feel, which lacks in FSN as the one only one I feel Shiro has any sort of good chemistry with is Rin and well, Illya I suppose. Bit of a shame that she is not in the far side of the moon since shes an entertaining character, but I don't think she fits there either. Did Hisui's route, ending sucked balls for me but it was alright, hit pretty hard when + Show Spoiler +
Koukaku comitted suicide.
Did Kohaku's route, was pretty nicely done, the ending with the flowerbed was incredibly cheesy but w/e, felt pretty happy with it. Did Akiha's route last and mah feels got rekt at the end when you+ Show Spoiler +
(suicide and then she finds the knife).
Overall I think that the bad guys in near side were kinda meh and shallow but I didn't really mind it that well, very good story and likeable characters.

For me, I hate Hisui's route more than any other route I've ever read in a VN... Which granted, isn't a huge number, but still. I only liked the last part of her route. Other than that, the "laying in bed in pain, hallucinating" for an entire route drove me nuts.
