My main problem with Toradora was the complete and utter way the show zapped all the side characters agency to have them become people who ship the main couple, even though none of them actually wanted to. But nope even when it was up in the air everyone just gave up their personal wishes to say "YOU GO GUYS! MAKE BAD DECISIONS and BE TOGETHER. Also the running away thing was forced drama that just came off as silly. That author has a habit of saying "fuck you" to side characters in her stories and Toradora is one of the strongest examples of that.
+ Show Spoiler +Well I donno, I think the only side char that really got shafted was Kawashima Ami. like, Minori was a crucial part of the final love "triangle" between her and Taiga going after Ryujii and there was a great conclusive scene of her crying after the two left together, after she had said she'd decided not to cry anymore. Kitamura's main storyline ended when he ran for class president/confessed to the old class pres (and even just the one line of saying he was going to America to study was closure of it, showing he was going to chase after the girl he loved).
There was even an unneeded side thingy of Hisumatsu and falling for Kihara and Kihara falling for Kitamura...and two of those characters were really just small support parts.
And i think the part about them all deciding to help Taiga and Ryujii run away was just showing that they were all such good friends, they all really knew deep down those two would end up together, and it showed that they would do anything to help their friends.

On a more serious note, seems like most think this will be like Nagi no Asukara. I sure hope it doesn't take that route since Nagi needed more work in the story telling and love department? Based on the first episode, I think it'll be a fun and relaxed anime to watch. Likely that Touko will end up with David and that Sachi might end up with Hiro but no confirmation of that just yet. Can only guess that David will eventually start crashing their group unintentionally (or intentionally if he gets invited etc...).

Will probably pick up the novels too. If you are just looking for character interaction, sure, except there are better stuff out there anyway. on the plus side korbo isn't anywhere near dangerously furry levels

I totally forgot to watch the last episode of Mangaka-san. What an episode to end it on lol. Very funny and got what you expected from the beginning. I seriously thought it was going to be a Romcom show but man was I surprised.

i just watched glasslip finally too. It's too early for me to have any opinions other than + Show Spoiler +lol at that girl freaking out over thechickens. doesn't she realize it's possible to let them be "free range" and still protect them from predators at night in some type of coop?lol

She's try to talk to him more and invite him, he'll decline but eventually slows gets closer to her and falls in love with her while Yukinari will get madder and madder until eventually something happens (usually a time when he needs lots of help for something important from David or realizes that she likes David (confession etc...)) at which point he recognizes David as a worthy foe and decides to support her love lol. My hope is that that all happens within the first 5-6 episodes so that we can get more couple-y moments and such lol

So I went with a mixture between things I think he might like (deadman wonderland), things that aren't like what he watched but are good nontheless (mushishi) and things that are just "wtf did I just watch" (nyaruko, because he DOES know Lovecraft and we play a bunch of Arkham City, the board game, when we meet up) to test out what he might like. And well, No idea what Ergo Proxy is like but ZNF mentioned that one I think.

I can't tell if you are being sarcastic or you actually bit the bullet and read.
Far as furry goes, Horo and that nun from the new series isn't nearly as bad as billionaire girl, thus he can only furry. From an amazing sample size of 3.
