Naruto and IS were good in their first seasons, if you can call it that way for Naruto. The IS OVA with everyone cooking at his house was probably the best thing to happen to IS, but season 2 was sooo bad

The longer bigfan doesn't watch monogatari the longer I can live without cancer. what? you don't get cancer from discussions lol. Either way, if the show ends up being as girl focused as it sounds like(with small plots) then I doubt I'm interested in talking about one girl over another like you think. I'll probably just mention who I like, like in Toradora and move on. Ha. Ha. Ha. But yeah, Monogatari is almost entirely girl focused. The only reason it isn't regarded like IS is because of SHAFT and how boring it is.

It was a great experience. I watched it a long time ago on TV, no interest in watching it again, but man dem reactions + Show Spoiler +oh this bread let me see my dead parents! I'm like how the fuck are you gonna top that, and then the next Episode This bread made me travel back in time and helped me save my parents from dying in the first place, negating the previous amazing bread that I ate I love food manga/anime, did you read this week's Soma? Too bad the series kept going after that. I really enjoyed it until that arc, where the repetitiveness of it all finally overcame the bread. + Show Spoiler [Obligatory] +

Had a sore throat and hiccups that lasted for about 12 hours. Ate some ice cream and both were gone in an instant.
I think I just found All Blue (or All Green since it was mint chocolate chip).

I also enjoyed IS and what I watched so far of SYD. Naruto before we hit those 60+ episode fillers after the save Sasuke arc was pretty good (I didn't mind the fillers though lol). It had some really great OPs as well that I even managed to get a sibling of mine to watch with me at one point Shippuden wasn't bad either but it got really annoying when you had like 7+ episode fillers after one arc is done and Naruto acted like he didn't know what Rasengan was XD Gave up watching after the pain arc.

You should give OreImo a try imo. It's pretty moe/cute and I have no idea why, but I did enjoy the watch. Just watch episode 1 and you'll see what it's like. Pretty sure you'd like it as well. Also Ayase.

One piece was a lot better before the Punk Hazard arc. The pace is just too slow to actually enjoy now

Sekai Seifuku lol what a crazy last episode. Loved it.

Should that come with an irritating imouto warning?
Finally finished StB too + Show Spoiler +I guess that was full confirmation of harem ending? Moegi daughter of Asagi and Kojou, Reina daughter of Yukina and Kojou. Pretty sure that that 'dad died' comment coupled with the fourth wall breaking 'tehepero' face was just a 'gotcha moment.

KLK didn't disappoint. Really just a fun series to sit back and not think about while enjoying it. Satsuki looks better in long hair tho.

chu2 ren felt so much weaker than season 1. Its like they went backwards in character development. There was probably only one episode of some development for Shichimiya, but every other episode was basically the same thing with all major issues solved by giant imaginary fight scenes. i feel so trolled. they didnt even get the goddamn kiss at the end >.>

Sekai Seifuku: Zvezda! lol. I liked this last episode. Guess there's going to be a season two, at least I hope they do one.

+ Show Spoiler [Kill la Kill] +I figured I'd give it a couple of days to settle, though in all honesty it didn't stir that much up in the first place. Besides the grand finale being a letdown the last episode was okay, I guess. Gamagoori was great, and in general Satsuki's merry band of goons remained the highlight of pretty much every episode, consistently.
I shouldn't question it because it's more for thematic reasons than actual plot reasons, but damn Senketsu dying seems fucking stupid. All of the crazy things he's pulled, including breaking the end game hurrdurr life fibers stop functioning around me of Shinra whateveretsu, and he burns up upon reentry into the atmosphere because he apparently pushed himself too hard. It just seems like a stretch after all the other asspulls. Meanwhile, the only damage Ryuko suffers from the reentry is emotional damage because her best bro's gone. Again, I know it's for the sake of the growing up story or whatever, but it just doesn't do it for me. Instead of being sad I'm kind of bitter that the best character in Ryuko's camp died.
And to compare one over the top Imaishi work with fairly mundane pointy objects as signature weapons to another just for fun: Simon loses his best bro, a lot of his close friends, and his waifu. He goes on to become a wandering hobo that is basically forgotten. Ryuko loses her best bro, keeps the new friends she's made, and gets to keep her girl. She goes on a date.

Hi guys,
I got some spare time and I am thinking of watching some anime. I haven't watched any since... mid 2011, I think? The last show I watched was Madoka.
Basically I want some recommendations on what were the good shows for the last 2 years or so that I missed. It can be any genre, really.
Also no attack on titan please.

Niseoki: + Show Spoiler +such trolls >.> I mean, we get the possibility that it was Onodera then that it may be Kirisaki last episode and now after the key breaks so it can't be Kirisaki, seems like he did meet her 10 years ago but he also met Onodera and thinks it's both? On top of that, Kirisaki seems to be liking him more now and Onodera is starting to question if he loves Kirisaki or not which will affect her feelings probably. What a mess XD Breaking the key in the lock though, good way to extend the series.

Also no attack on titan please. Nagi no Asukara- drama, some comedy, etc... (2 cours, still ongoing for one more episode) Noragami- really good story, etc... (1 cour, finished) Buddy Complex- mech, good graphics, story is ok, likeable characters (1 cour, ongoing for one more episode, more to come) Wake up Girls- idol genre, good interesting story (1 cour, finished) Magi- magic, good action, story is interesting, give it a try imo. (2 cour, likely finished in one more episode) Log Horizon- MMO kind of anime, a bit political, some action (2 cour, finished for now, more to come) Non Non Biyori- comedic, good character, slice of life anime (1 cour, finished) Mahou Sensou- if you want harry potter type of anime, this is it lol (1 cour, possibly another cour) Strike the Blood- vampires, powers, magic etc... worth a try imo.
Over the top drama (may/may not like, try for 1-2 episodes or so): Sekai Seifuku(1 cour, likely more to come) No-rin (finished, likely more to come) D-frag (1c, finished)
Trollish anime but with an intriguing story(may/may not like): Niseoki (1 cour, likely more to come)

Shin Seki Yori is really good and pretty emotional ride. Steins;gate is also really good possibly even better.
edit: Above list is pretty much only this season. Don't think anything from this season is what you should watch first.
