I want to ask which characters but for the most part, I recall the characters acting 'normally' like Banri telling Linda to reduce contact, Nana acting all tough throughout but having that good heart, Mitsuo withdrawing because of the information overload or chinami getting pissed at Banri because he's so close to Linda when he has koko(and Mitsuo is interested in linda, didn't know his story). I will admit that I think the author kept most of the characters in the dark for too long which was a bit annoying to see and I likely forgot some of the earlier interactions which might be what you're referring to.

I see your point on the ghost part though. I thought the ghost letting himself drop from the bridge was signalling that the current Banri won but then, he was still there so what was the reason for that? lol. I don't understand the bridge part with the ghost so I just ignore it and figure it was bad writing or something lol. I think the ghost was still there or you know what? maybe it was the signal that his memory are returning so the ghost doesn't need to be shown anymore. Stretching it a bit I know but that's one of the fast explanations I can come up with. His mental problems later on seemed to be that his memories will return for a brief bit then disappear which caused him to lose it. They could've probably done it better but I'm too lazy to think of how lol.
