at least we're getting somewhere now lol. Onodera finding out about the act should make for more interesting episodes from this point on. Hope the over the top drama continues  Smoking campaign in Zvezda was good though. Show keeps getting wackier with each episode. After they spent the whole time establishing that the two sides aren't particularly different? I was pretty sad at the flamethrower dude's part. The rest were designed to make you feel good about them dying, maybe a bit mixed feelings for her. Except by that point I've gotten pretty numb about the series' portrayal of bad people anyway. So either I didn't care or I was meh about it. Same for the MC's side too tbh. Series got way too long for the pace that it was moving at, now only boredom remains. Esdese fighting is like the only thing left to get me interested at all. In all I think Akame drew a pretty bad balance between the sides and couldn't really stick to one thing. It started out with the whole people doing dirty deeds for greater good stuff, standard, whatever. Then it kills some of the said good people while starting to establish some value for the other side. Somewhat promising but there has been plenty of things that went this way before. So what does it do? Kill more characters on both sides. Except it kept on switching between making bad guys bad or making them regular people because someone couldn't make up their mind. All the while making empty promises of not introducing more characters to die (which it breaks). It has already missed the point for it to reach a reasonable conclusion. So yeah, I am not particularly interested in an anime adaptation, though it might not hurt to have voices and animation for fights. | ||

Their portrayal of the bad guys is kinda odd. At first it seemed like they were dead set on making them absolute monsters, but then they made them equals with the good guys. Now they're stuck somewhere in between (especially Esdese?). Kinda awkward. The pacing went to shit around the time when the random third party showed up. It hinted that we'd be seeing another arc, and sure enough, next chapter is some weird new stuff. Monthly releases don't help.
