It's 193 episodes so I definitely didn't marathon it lol. Took me a couple of months. I've never watched anything beyond 50 episodes before so it was an interesting experience.

Its pretty standard, dense MC, powerups 'separated' fictional futuristic city, deals with supernatural elements harem, service, reform-able bad guys, the occasional genuine bad guy. Pretty Indexish, I kinda like Index (I think) so I dont mind it but its probably alot weaker than Index. Particularly character wise..
I would pass on it if you feel like you would have to go out your way to pick it up.

I really like Strike the Blood's ED, especially at the end of episode 7 when they had the extended guitar intro. Can't find the version with that longer intro anywhere tho T_T

Any kokou no hito lovers here? I fell in love with pacing and character development. I read it in one sit. I might want to get on another ride like that again. + Show Spoiler +
I hated almost everyone. The vast majority of the cast is pretty despicable. I think by the end, there was only one character I liked and sympathized with at all. They're all so damn selfish. The main character got better late in the story, but then he relapsed into selfishness, climbed K2, and got himself maimed. Seriously, the person who had it worst in the story was Hana.
And while I guess that's fine, it really does make for an irritating reading experience. Even Punpun had more sympathetic characters than this.
I also felt like they tried too hard to portray the harshness of climbing sometimes. The first time someone died, it was kinda shocking. The second time someone died, it was still sorta surprising. From then on though, I wasn't particularly fazed by any of the deaths. Being a little more prudent there would've gone a long way.
