I watch more japanese dramas than I watch anime now. I can recommend 1 Litre of Tears (mentioned earlier), Nodame Cantabile (I prefer it over the anime version), Atami no Sousakan (Twin Peaks inspired, obviously not as good but still very enjoyable) and taigadorama such as Ryouma Den if you have some interest in Japanese history.

You make it sound as if the kissing is the only thing that is going on in the show, which isn't quite fair.

Would've liked if Onodera said yes but considering she said no, that just clears the way for their relationship. I think it would've been difficult to continue had she said yes but would've added more complexity to the story. I do wonder if she is infact the girl that gave him the locket though. Questions! Questions! lol.

hmm guess you've read the manga then? I'm watching it for the comedy(bit of romance can't hurt either) but if I get answers as to who was the girl who gave him the locket, bonus points considering it looks like they are going to avoid it for a long while.

lol I think all of us that read it on the irc thinks that it is hopeless and just put up with it for random as fuck reasons. Like in my case I am just happy to see something use uga no mitama its choice of deities in a myth related work.

The actual story is vanilla as fuck and pretty trite. Inari herself is boring. I read it for the art and the side characters relationships. At least something's going on there.

The whole Minori as gen2 Shiroe thing in source is so annoying, it was like double the amount of cheesy mmorpg comparisons.
