I actually don't hate him for that phrase. It's because he is so stupid and annoying that makes my blood boil. And the more important point is that he so freaking boring to the point that he made sabers character interesting when sabers character was supposed to be boring !

It was fanservice itself that i hated. I dont hate fanservice on other anime's but SAO established a dark tone of the story in the beginning and they just didn't know the timing when to put fan service and they just killed the mood and focused to make it like a cinderella story. I mean WTF ?

The characters have all the rights to be emotional because their lives really depend on the game. Which is why I don't like part2 of the anime while I'd recommend part1 to everyone unless the person is so picky in a weird way. I don't see what's there to hate in part1. Part2 however pretty much ruined the show for me that I won't be bothered to watch season2. Or I might give the first few episodes a chance to see if they are interesting enough...

SAO is sword art online right? Can't see anything else with the same acronym lol. Isn't it pretty much like Log Horizon but with some slight differences like there's a final boss and stuff? It sounds interesting although it doesn't seem like it's recommended much apart from part 1. Is part 2 really that bad? lol

Shirou was what he was supposed to be: a naive idealist. Yes that comes off as annoying but it was kinda his thing.
