I get the feeling it could have been sadder.
On further reflection + Show Spoiler +The 'reborn' Kanede and Otonashi finding each other again was a salve for how the show ended. I'm starting to view it as the 'good end', and treat the 'alternative epilogue' as closer to a 'true end' if there was to be one. It just... Wrapped things up nicely, in a heart breaking, painful yet completely closed and cyclical way. Closed the cycle again if you will. Fuck that's just making it more depressing for me.
Or maybe the Japanese are better Buddhists than I am to believe in reincarnation. God knows from their stories they deserve a second chance from their shit karma.
EDIT:I just realised something in all this. I'm assuming they're Buddhists because they're talking about 'obliteration' in terms of reincarnation... So why are they looking for a God?

Angel Beats had a lot of up and down for me
That said, when I consider it in the grand scheme, I'm a little bit sad (the ending as it is does give a bit of redemption or a second chance). The backstory of the MC was brutal
The rest of the anime, school life, was sort of a distraction to what was really happening -_-

I think Kill la Kill is starting to turn me into a nudist.

Alternate epilogue was even worse than the reborn ending honestly. Should have just...not done anything at all with those.
I think if any work can described as actually melodramatic, it'd be Angel Beats. I think it's better than a lot of people say it is, but AB was melodramatic as hell. Everyone had like the most awful backstories and the most sappy endings that it reeked of forcing tears into your eyes.
AB was fine so long as it wasn't stuffing the worst stories. I think there was...one or two characters who had nice stories that didn't just sound unoriginal.

Also doesn't hurt there is usually a good true route to wrap up things without focusing on individual melodrama.
Then we realize AB game is coming in installments. Pls Key.

Wait it is?
wtf Key pls
It's okay. I have enough on my platter to read anyway.

(Reuters) - The Chernin Group, former News Corp president Peter Chernin's holding company, said on Monday it had acquired majority control of Japanese anime streaming service Crunchyroll, expanding holdings that include stakes in online video company Fullscreen and mobile entertainment network Scopely.
Headquartered in San Francisco, Crunchyroll has a free, ad-supported service and a subscription service that the Cherin group says has subscribers in more than 160 countries. The company delivers content from Japanese studios and broadcasters to viewers outside of Japan on desktops, mobile phones and other devices.
No price was announced for the acquisition, but a person with knowledge of the transaction said it was close to $100 million. The Chernin Group said it will maintain majority control although Crunchyroll management and existing investor TV Tokyo will maintain a "significant" stake.
"Our plan is to continue to grow the anime vertical as well as launch new channels in different genres," Chernin said in the statement.
The Chernin Group, which has financial backing from Providence Equity Partners and Qatar Holdings, produces films and TV shows. Earlier this year, it made a bid to buy the Hulu online video site, owned by Twenty-First Century Fox, the Walt Disney Co, and Comcast.

My God, that gif...
You're inhuman for posting such an adorable thing. ;;

I'm half way through Hanasaku Iroha and I love it too much, probably one of the best slice of life show's I've seen. Ohana is too awesome <3 I love her, Minku can go to hell though, that girl is so bitchy hating on Ohana for things beyond her control GRRRR. Nako is the typical shy girl but she's very nice , the other girl from the other inn is nice but I feel her presence was an afterthought lol.
I feel this story is more about Ohana falling in love with the inn and that life than anything else, poor Koichi getting replaced . Gladly I like Ohana so I like to see what she goes through, really want to see the rest tomorrow D:.
