The anime just doesn't make sense but than again we're watching a anime that has ww2-battleship-girls, preferably in bikinis on the beach, fighting with a lot of *pewpew*, laz0rs and transformations contemplating about life. The latter part obviously isn't what they should have put a lot of emphasis on.

The intrigues are decent but not great, the actual plot is a bit of a mess, etc. Sadly the anime just has nothing to put in place for any of that.
Frankly contemplating about life is fine, but the gimmicky way they are going about that is just sad.

Sent, serious question. Will you watch a complete trash show if it has robits?

No i didn't imply that it is good compared to the original, i see the anime as a different product so i said that the latest episode is 'good', which is quite fair among the animes nowadays.
I mean, we really don't need be that harsh all the time lol. The success of the anime = more moe boats man!!

If anything it is the other way around. Long as the former does fine you'll have plenty of moe boats.

Not sure if regular Banri is now watching or gone but still there. Hooray for Linda! :D

I mean, unless he's dreaming, he said he was back and he was moving his body around and such? I know what part you mean though. When they were on the balcony, he screamed that "he wants to go back" catching himself and Linda by surprise. I think you're right that he fell asleep there and blurted it out. I can't remember what my interpretation of that part was at this point lol
edit: I figured out what will happen next episode in Arpeggio lol: + Show Spoiler +It almost seems kinda obvious although I could be very wrong about it. Raise anticipation levels! They seem to be aiming for the emotions like love are strong and such angle. We saw that when Hyuuga withstood the supergravity cannon from Kongo due to her love for Iona (or so she claims lol). I think something similar will happen here. At the end of the episode, we see the submarine sink. It's likely both Iona and Gunzou will survive. After all, the ship is damaged, not up in flames and broken into many pieces so Iona's human form will still be there and I think she'll be able to move but not in the greatest condition.
Anyways, we also see Gunzou hit the ground hard when they get sunk. I see two main options but both rely on the same idea of emotions and such. First option, is that Gunzou is injured. I mean cmon, who wouldn't be after getting knocked down then sinking with the ship. We know that Iona is developing feelings or at least feeling more emotions towards him. When he stretched out his hand before they were sunk, she was reaching for it. I think she'll see him, likely talk to him, feel those emotions again and just like Hyuuga felt powered up due to Iona, she'll feel the same due to Gunzou. Ya, it doesn't make sense if she is indeed sunk to be able to just power up and move but THE POWER OF LOVE (or emotions) PREVAILS! lol.
Other option along the same lines is that Gunzou can move around, albeit not in the best shape and he holds Iona in his arms. Talks to her, comforting her and such. She feels those same emotions as Hyuuga and that helps her recover. Considering what the main theme is in the last couple of episodes, it's not a major bizzare thing if it happens imo.
Last option is that once Takao gets to the rendezvous place, they aren't there. They'll find out through Kongo or someone that 401 was sunk, maybe bragging about it. I can see Kongo just going, ya, now that Gunzou is out of the way, you can come back to the fog or something. They'll launch a search operation and somehow find them. Too lazy to think how they'll find them if they are sunk very deep in the ocean but we are talking about battleships with fast processing power and probably insane scanning mechanisms and such. We can give them a pass lol.
PS Keep in mind that I didn't consider water flowing into the ship when it sunk. We can modify the options and just say that Iona gets back some power, enough to deal with that, whether through klein field or through somehow repairing itself. Episodecrafting ftw! lol.

I'd be more inclined to believe in the existence of said triangle had they not given a certain girl 90% of the screentime in the OP.
