Also Lucky Star is more of a slice of life than comedy, and its interaction is not all that different from what we do on IRC or what I do with my Asian friend circle. Saying "if you find it funny, then I have nothing but pity for you" is the same as people saying "if you like giant robot fight giant monster, then I have nothing but pity for you" in Pacific Rim thread. You are equally ridiculous, just with different opinion. | ||

Most of the people who like it like the characters and want to see them interacting in daily life. I haven't found a single anime that's reasonably well-regarded bad. | ||

I, for one, like lucky star and hate k-on!. I think that when someone says that liking a show makes you have zero taste and pitiful then he's either exaggerating, intolerant or full of himself. The whole notion of taste superiority is something people like to tell themselves but there is a line there that should not be crossed Also, arguments/fighting/whatever this is is not shitposting. True shitposting would get you banned immediately on TL. I would know. I guess you can veil it enough for it to go unnoticed but that's not really something anyone here does. And if it's not too extreme, it can usually be described by "having fun" instead | ||

Which was absolutely perfect for the character. On the Mages being assholes... Rin in FSN mentioned a few times that unless you're a selfish asshole you'll likely be a failure of a Mage. | ||
