Also, I recently watched the Lyrical Nanoha movies, and I'll be getting around to Strikers sometime soonish. Will I be missing out on too much/have a warped understanding of Nanoha because I watched the movies instead of the shows?

Eh it'll probably be ok, there will be random things referring to events in As that you won't understand because movie just completely cut some plotlines. They weren't that major a portion of Strikers though.

It might not be as pretty as the movie, but everything else is better in the show. In terms of 'how good' Nanoha stuff goes, imo its 1st Movie>A's TV>Strikers>A's Movie>Season 1

Though should still watch A's as the movie cut / changed some really essential plot, and it's the best Nanoha series.

If they scaled back the main character's almost constant sexual harassment and the fan service a bit then it would be more enjoyable. Ikaros and Nymph too cute. I was really into Otoshimono when I first got into anime (2-3 years ago). Then I slowly got exposed to other shows. The Otoshimono movie came out, I was hyped. Watched it, was like, "wtf". Then deleted it. I hear the third season has been announced. Needless to say, Im not hyped anymore. =/

I enjoyed the first two seasons then watched the movie (and hated it) and then read the manga, and for the most part enjoy it (recent things are a bit meh though). To re-iterate, please just wipe the existence of the movie from your mind. It's for the better.

Any reccs i'm missing out on? Hunter x Hunter, Yahari, I assume you are watching SnK. If you aren't then at least try it out to see what all the fuss is about because it's doing so well commercially and culturally
