I don't know if there is any official news about Claymore ending but the plot is moving toward something that could end the manga. A fight between a lot of big name characters and such. Although I think it could also be moving toward another large arc. + Show Spoiler +After the Organization was destroyed one the chapters had "the end" or something on the last page which freaked me out a little thinking the manga might have ended, but it was more probably meant that a major plot point, the Organization was over and a new plot was going to happen. I'm not sure how popular Claymore is and how long it could be serialized but the plot could move into the Mainland where the real war is taking place.
Looking it up there was news that Claymore was ending regarding the ending to this chapter, but that was almost a year ago. If Claymore really was ending based off the news in May 2012 it would have ended on that chapter. http://www.mangapanda.com/claymore/126/21

One of my biggest issue with Claymore, and maybe this genre, is that it's hard to keep up with who's stronger than who. And also, they always grow stronger, sometimes in the middle of the fight :/
|
Now the question is... why in the bloody hell would you need to track that?
|
Tracking who is stronger is a hobby of dedicated fans of a series it is not required for enjoying battle mangas except in a very loose sense like who the final boss is. Most of the characters get stronger through plot points rather than having an established power level. In addition Claymore rarely has 1v1 duels and even the ones that do have plot reasons why X won + Show Spoiler +for example Clare vs Ophelia AB form . The recent arc would be especially bad given how many characters are involved and the surprises.

Finished watching 5 cm per Second.
I feel very conflicted about it. I feel empty and confused and I don't remember the last time I had to work out my feelings for a film in any sort of way....

I felt the same too after I finished it.

I feel that biggest obstacle in me throughly enjoying the film was the cynicism that kicked in post Act 1. I think I will sleep on this one, and perhaps watch it a second time. I will say one thing, and that is the film felt very...Hemingway-ish? (maybe it's just cuz I've been reading Hemingway so much these days). Good write up though. Always appreciate analysis and commentary.

I also rewatched 5cm/s the next day. Had no idea what I thought of it until I did, in the end I think it's an excellent movie.

If you want spend 30 min feeling confused and crept out, try draw sasami family tree.

Also it is only about as creepy as song of ice and fire at best.

Just read the RGM-79 Gunpla reference in rewrite, that was pretty cool

If any of you want to tune in and watch, I'm planning on doing it Monday and Wednesday night, this week. I'm thinking of doing Episode 1-3, starting at around 8:30pm EST on Monday, and then doing eps 4-5 starting at around 8:30pm EST on Wednesday as well. I'll post here and on #tladt with a link when I'm about to start. About to start streaming Gundam Unicorn. If you want to watch, here is the stream: http://www.justin.tv/sentenal
edit: Stream over, willl do episode 4-5 on Wednesday, same time

well if your going to go to that genre of fiction the amount of porn floating around is rather absurd.

After being in the same irc channel as Shauni for all this time, no ordinary amount of creepiness will faze me.

+ Show Spoiler +All the crying was a little over the top.

It was, but I'd argue only the end really felt like it was way too melodramatic.
Still a good show imo
