So I just finished watching Welcome to the NHK the other week. And I really really liked it. Anyone know some similar animes that are also good?

SAO on the other hand, is just bad and the only reason people like it is because it's loosely based on MMOs and games, which lots of people like. Same reason why lots of zombie related things get rated higher than they should - people like zombies.
Also, somewhat unrelated, but I take back what I said about Beelzebub however many pages back I insulted it. Went back to it and enjoyed it thoroughly. Guess I was just expecting something different at the time, which affected my judgment. Shouldn't intentionally trying to be a blight upon anime be worse than doing it accidentally?

Kind of awkward comparing things that are subjectively bad to murder lol. K-ON intentionally meant to do what it did, so it should at the very least be praised for succeeding at it, while SAO not only failed at doing what it set out to do, but failed so badly it became something even worse because of its failure.

Because it succeeded intentionally. Not really any other way to explain it. It set out to do what it did, and it did it. Even if you dislike what it did, you can't deny it did it well.

Yeah, but not much happened this episode. Basically just re-introducing the characters (except for the robot girl who seemed more or less normal), and lots of Sena.

robotics; notes 12 + Show Spoiler + 2/10, would skip episode in future rewatches. not enough frau

K-On set out to be an unwatchable shit pile (apparently), and damnit, it succeeded! Apparently this is worthy of praise. I have no idea why.
Anyway, on completely separate note, I've been working on the MG Griffon KazeHydra got me as my Secret Santa gift. I haven't completed it yet since I injured myself twice on this thing (has been a challenging model!). BUT, while I was building it, I thought of something funny that maybe a few of you would get. I give you, MG Griffon ver.Ka! + Show Spoiler +![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/HnjP6.jpg) dem long legs

The thing about K-On not being cancer is just a personal opinion of mine that isn't really relevant.

Please leave K-on! alone. ;_;

Will watching K-on improve my anime viewing experience?

It's a must watch simply to establish your opinion on the ''moe'' matter. Basically to see if you like the direction where anime is heading or not. I think every anime will improve your anime viewing experience.

I don't think anime is heading to more moe, it's just more specialized. While it's true that degree of fanservice have turned up, same can be said for action, violence, psychological etc. Just now we have dedicated moe series as before it's only part of an anime.
