Could this be a offerring of some sort? Latelyl Ive come to realize that everything in Horizon is based off offerrings, and as long as the requirements are met their wish will be fulfilled. So does this mean that once they follow exactly whats in the Testament book that they will be able to rebuild the Harmonic Divine Planes again? It doesn't, not sure what kind of translations you are seeing but the reenactment is to regain access to the heavens/space and has nothing to do with what you are talking about. In terms of how much sense it makes...well, little, but the sentiment about the nature of the plan will be explained in later vols/seasons so you'll just have to wait.

Classic. I'm curious to see what your reaction will be to Chizuru route P.S. If you pick Meiya, + Show Spoiler +you actually do end up getting the feast eventually. Well at least a few dishes anyways...
Haha, sorry to burst your bubble, but I probably wont be playing Chizuru route. 1) Dont really like her character 2) I want to get into alternative as quick as possible

Incidentally I just decided to go and finish the Mirai Nikki manga now after reading about it here, looking it up, and realized that it was actually completed lol. Same idea as you, though it wasn't from forgetting the plot but just from genuinely wondering what the heck was happening in the story.

+ Show Spoiler +I thought the heavens/space was the Harmonic Divine States, the copy of the original Divine States, and that they existed on different planes. ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/xCty5.png) ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/MOZyB.png) And I was just wondering if the reenactment of the Testament was a offering, aka a legit way to regain access to the "heavens/harmonic states" again.

+ Show Spoiler +Its not an offering. i think the point of re enacting history is to get to the same place they were before the bad shit went down.

No translation notes and no explanation from the previous series of the author makes for confusion. "Divine States" is really just a literal translation of one of the ways the Japanese refer to Japan, particularly with this author. The Harmonic area is kinda like just another copy that was made and existed in a slightly different dimension in the same world. Though I believe that same batch of random explanations in season 1 should've covered how the Heavens was literally space and you just missed it.
Offerings are something else and is a shinto concept in the Horizon world, so it would be rather strange if such a method is adopted given the various faction and religions.
At any case, yes, reenacting history doesn't really make sense if you think about it, but it is the premise that this is build on and further explanations won't be for quite some time. So I am just not really going to bother with explaining that unless they cover random stuff this season that warrants me bringing it up. Unlikely to happen though.

+ Show Spoiler +My point is that theyre not all doing this based on chance, and that this is a 100% way of regaining the "heavens" again. And like I said earlier, since offereings = fulfilled wishes, then could this be a offereing and that they will 100% be able to rebuild the "heavens" again, and theyre not all doing this based on uncertainty.
But Eca said theyll explain it further down the line, so I guess well see.

Offerings exist in any religion... it's like in Christianity offering bread and water (IIRC?) to receive the meat and blood of Jesus. In Horizon it's a means of receiving divine aid, usually in the form of combat powers.
They're re-enacting it because they lost some shit, and they figure re-enacting history is the most likely means of finding their lost shit. They have no idea if it's 100% sure to work out, but they do it because they don't have any better idea, given that they fused a machine with Fate.

But Eca said theyll explain it further down the line, so I guess well see. No, nothing to do with that. For one, what gods in shinto would you be offering that to? It isn't something that is shared by the other sects of the world, and within shinto itself there isn't anything that would give you what you want. I can go on a bit more but it is just going to drag in random shit from books and previous series, so let's just say that it makes no sense when you consider the nature of shinto and the way things are working.
Now that I think about it though, S1 went into how offerings works kinda so not sure how you get the idea at all.

IDK though, 奉納 in the other sects not shinto is kinda funky, but I guess in the end a fair bit 拝気 accumulation are based on 'offerings' of some kind. Ehh kinda late here and too lazy to check things so I'll look into it tomorrow or something.
They are not sure if it is going to work out 100%, but they do it not so much because that they don't have any better idea, but the general mood of the time led to that kind of conclusion.

Honestly guys, is Mirai Nikki recommended to watch or not ?

Okay can someone just very briefly explain the ending of Mirai Nikki to me (manga ver if there's a difference) pretty please? Decided to go back and finish it and I have no idea what the hell just happened. It felt like Esuno was going for some big epic finish and it flew completely over my head =__=;;
Edit: actually wikipedia has a long-ass summary on Mirai Nikki overall, though if you think you can do a better job it would still be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance ^^
+ Show Spoiler [Edit #2] +WAIT WHAT IN THE $#@! YUNO "[big]SMASHED[big] THE WALL OF SPACE-TIME WITH A HAMMER"?! I.....what? I prematurely assumed that the manga had ended, what in the actual f--- is going on.
Wow. So meta. So we get a credits roll in the manga and then.....that happens. Okay so I didn't completely understand 100% what was happening, but I got that there was a deus (oh ze irony) ex machina ending and that they transcended space-time and shizzle. Alrighty then I get what happened overall I guess even though some of the events were sort of confusing.
Also I completely understand why you guys were annoyed by my early posting habits after having observed the same kind of posting myself. Just sayin'. Hard to describe, something about being an annoying little squirt :|

I haven't read up on the recent discussion but think it was amazing up until last 4 or so episodes. Then it went way downhill which made me give it I think 7.5/10 instead of maybe up to 9-ish. Without knowing your tastes or so I'd still blindly say "watch it".

Wow, Abenobashi's ending left a sour taste in my mouth. Standard Gainax. + Show Spoiler +Moral of the story is that you don't have to grow up, if you happen to be fatelinked with a super magician? Really? Was also disappointed that it was the grandpa and not the childhood friend that was dead.

read the manga I can't give input on anime versus manga, but now that someone has rec'd the manga, I support it and say go for it! Manga's not too bad at all.
