DO tell me what we spoiled for you. I'm really interested in finding out. Or are you maybe a person that gets spoiled by the slightest thing like a newspaper writing "X book was a great work from Y!" ?? Note that I haven't watched or read any of TWOGKs, but is the anime even near to where the manga is? The guy is an anime-only watcher, and if you guys are just talking about things that have been "going on like 20 weeks now" in the manga, but not the anime, then you are spoilering him. Stop being dicks and just use spoiler tags, it isn't that hard.
If he only watches anime he shouldn't even understand the conversation, much less be offended by it. From an anime point of view we just spoiled that already establish characters will see use in future arcs. Ohh Emm Gee... no1 saw that one commin'.

I dont get it either well depending how far into the story someone is you could've spoiled + Show Spoiler + that there are even goddesses to begin with. that there is more than one goddess that both Chihiro and Ayumi become important enough to be considered goddess candidates. that goddesses are now a pivotal part of the story in some way.
I mean yeah, you didn't spoil anything big but the shift from lost souls to goddess hunting is a pretty big plot change that would no longer be a surprise.

So if youre watching One Piece and you're say at the arlong arc, I should spoiler Haki discussions mentions, not even discussions lol between 2 characters that were already introduced say Luffy and Zoro, just because it will be there in the anime in say... 400 episodes?

Because this is a general discussion thread, for long series yes, that's probably a good approach. One Piece thread presumably has its own culture of how it does things, but in this GD thread and manga/anime are rarely in sync with each other (and many don't follow one or the other) it's better to be safe.
For instance, I could feasibly spoil shit about Chihayafuru vol 10 with znf. The anime may not even get there. It would make people angry, though.
I can also spoil shit about F/Z with Ecael, talking about Nasuverse. And when you go "but wait you're spoiling the anime" by your logic I can reply "the books are so yesterday get with the times."

Please do. I've already read the books.

So in other words, you're fine with people spoiling shit if you've already read it. Then stop being hypocritical and just own up to the fact that you're a selfish prick.

I never said I'm not. But I'm fed up with kiddies crying spoilers OMG when you hardly write anything. People like him need to grow a thicker skin. We didn't spoil jack shit for him in those 2 posts. Admit it.

I have no idea about that one (I don't read TWGOK) but Skilledbob has garnered quite the reputation in this thread for spoiling shit and ruining other peoples' weeks. And if you truly, honestly believe that you didn't spoil anything, you can explain WHY it's not a spoil, instead of bashing character.
Or, if you can't explain it because you know it's a spoiler, then stop defending yourself and own up to being the selfish prick.
Edit: This evidently points more toward SB than you incidentally.

Already explained ~5-7 posts ago, along with a good bash. Stop defending the kid. Unless he tells me EXACTLY WHAT I spoiled for him, I'm not gonna edit. Also quoting KazeHydra's post and writing "this" doesn't count.

I don't understand what you're getting so worked up about. Spoiler tags take absolutely no effort to put in. Regardless of whether or not your message was really a spoiler, is it really that much of a hassle to try being considerate?

It comes down to respect for the other people that post on this thread. Stop getting defensive and understand why it's wrong. Even if you are speaking in generalizations of the story you are STILL talking about the story. Be respectful and use spoiler tags. Stop being aggressive and stop thinking you are better than the rest of this thread that has been asking you to do it out of respect.

Its funny that you call me a "kid". Its like you look down upon me or something, I could be wrong. This could just be you taking a defensive stance or something.
What exactly did you spoil for me?

Were not trying to argue the fact that whether or not what you posted was "real" spoilers worth crying over. But simply just asking to take a second to consider using "spoiler" tags for these types of dicussions.
Thank you.

I use spoiler tags when there's a spoiler. When there isn't one, I don't. I'll stop being aggressive when you and SL stop busting my balls over stating my opinion as spoiling something for someone.

Just assume that there are people who have had absolutely no exposure to the subject matter (here TWGOK) but might want to enjoy it in the future. When such a person reads Latham's post, and then later begins reading TWGOK, he will be reminded of the implication that + Show Spoiler +as KazeHydra mentioned, there are goddesses and Ayumi is potentially one of them. His reading of Ayumi and of the plot in general, which introduces hell early but not the divine, is going to be substantially different than it would be had he not read Latham's post. Some people may not care, some will. I went into + Show Spoiler + after seeing screens of blood-covered protagonists and it only boosted my interest. Some people may care though, and that doesn't somehow dehumanize them or warrant being completely inconsiderate of them, especially when being considerate amounts to one button click.

i mean backlash on pilots etc are things you can simply say exist because the author wants the technology to work this way, but these two things are just plain bad. + Show Spoiler +Was their objective to actually rescue the hostages, or just to destroy the evil foreign white people, and rescue the hostages if possible? + Show Spoiler + i believe the advisor said they should not intervene, then gai said "no we rescue them and reveal our existence to the enemy!"
very spoilerific!
