c^3 is a great light novel, though somewhat repetitive and lack memorable or charming dialogue. But I'll be happy if the anime is as good as the LN

I mean this is so much better than what FSN started out with, and gives a reason to care what these guys are going to do. There are a lot of ways to do exposition episodes. Infodumping where it's literally talking heads and wide angle shots for most of the episode is quite possibly one of the laziest ways to do it. This doesn't mean there needs to be action and explosions.. just you know, more movement than flapping lips. Hopefully they're doing this to save budget for the powerlevel fighting later and not because it's "exactly like how the light novel was", 'cause if I wanted the light novel experience I would be reading it instead. A thing I find it weird though is that people are watching Fate/Zero without being somewhat familiar with Nasuverse and then complain about spoilers. The very fact that Fate/Stay Night exists means that the outcome in Fate/Zero is already determined. Oh noes, the ending was spoiled! I'd be very interested in seeing if the translations deal with all the historical references later on and if they do, if they can keep up that schedule :3 Considering they're getting paid for it and get the script days in advance it's probably not that hard to "keep up". You can probably expect it everyday at the same time because people will just rip the ANN/Sentai trans.

Why do they have multiple Holy Grail Wars? Are there multiple Holy Grails or something? Doesn't the winner of the first war get the holy grail? Also, I went to my first anime con EVER. And it was amazing!!! I bought a ton of stuff, volunteered, and saw a lot of cool cosplays. Especially a couple of Madoka ones... ^ ^ I'll post some pics later. Do any of you guys go to anime or comicons? And I wonder what Japanese people think when they go to American anime cons and see a bunch of wapanese people.

Definitely the part about Sakura being violated by insects shows this. I really like this pilot episode. It showed alot of the personality of the character in just 1 episode. So far servant and master seems to be... Tohsaka - Archer, Gilgamesh Emiya - Saber - King Arthur Priest dude - Assasin - Worm dude - (Caster? He just looks like a caster) School Kid - (Berserker? Seems that way from the closing theme) ??? - Lancer ??? - Rider How the fuck do you get Gilgamesh from a snake skin? + Show Spoiler + K, this is mainly about this already being much "darker" than FSN, and citing Sakura's situation. You know that part with Sakura getting violated by insects is something that originates in F/SN, right? Heaven's Feel route in the VN is all about Sakura, and Zouken's plan to use her finally starting, so... On October 02 2011 16:26 NationInArms wrote: Fate/Zero seemed pretty awesome too me. Not a good idea. Anyway, there isn't multiple Grails. There is a Holy Grail war, someone wins, someone uses it, it goes away till the next one. Simple. As for anime cons, I've been going to AWA for the past... Probably 6 years, this past weekend included.

I just went to my first con as well back in July. Loved it, highlight of my summer. Read my blog if you want details (and pics).

And wouldn't the prequel lead to the anime though? Thanks for the answer btw, I was slightly confused.

Stay away from the other pages if you dont want to risk more spoiling. The explanation might seem a bit vague so its ok if you dont get it after. keep in mind Nasuverse is basically inspired by an amalgamation of ideas that are borrowed from asian/east asian religious philosophy some occult stuff and a bit of history here and there.

Thanks for the answer btw, I was slightly confused. Prequels normally assume you have seen the work that follows it. Technically, you can watch it without having seen/read FSN, but you aren't getting the full experience. Prequels are only slightly more newbie-friendly than sequels are, just due to the nature of what a prequel is (nothing came before it, chronologically), but that doesn't mean it is MEANT to be watched first. Production order is almost always correct.

Those and Angel Beats are both made from Key, but I'm pretty sure Clannad/After Story is arguably Key's best produced series. If you don't mind gore, Elfen Lied is an interesting watch. If you're into seinen romance, REC was a nice short little series (that's not based in the school setting). seen everything you recommended (even school days) except REC so i'll probably watch that soon
