Because I'm getting mixed vibes from the discussion about it =P If you like lolis yes. Otherwise, there are vastly better shows out there :p Liking lolis is not necessary to enjoy the show, and I can't think of a lot of direct alternatives to Nanoha, but there's really no way for me to know if you'd like it anyways. I don't even think watching Nanoha just for the lolis is justified
Much better fan service shows out there.

pssst Death Note (manga) ftw

what's a good series with english subs that's available via streaming?
|
You'd have to give us some sort of genre to work in order for us to recommend something
If it's just streaming sites you're looking for, you can browse through animefreak.tv or go to animetoplist.org and look at the list of streaming sites there. If worst comes to worst, you can always search megavideo.

QQQ just finished lucky star feeling so empty now hahaha
So i watched k-on, lucky star, i guess azumangah diaoh is next right

No, you should've started with it. After Azumanga Daioh you can try Pani Poni Dash.
And now someone please enlighten me what to watch after all that.

Series, yes. There's obviously the older movie as well, but that's "alternate setting", not a prequel.
@garista minami-ke I guess?
|
How come every time I open this thread there's either one of the typical comedy slapstick anime or something from Kyoani being discussed?
|
@Nylan Thanks, I love it, but I've seen it already. Any other ideas?

You obviously missed the loli-bait
@garista Ouran, maybe? Sorry, I don't know what you've seen.
|
@garista Haruhi, maybe Honey and Clover? Don't know what genre you're going for, exactly...
|
@Nylan, Chau Okay, i guess I should clarify a bit...
Azumnaga Daoh, Lucky Star, Pani Poni Dash, Minami-ke all fall in the categories of Comedy, Daily Life, High School, School Life, Seinen, Slapstick (according to anidb.net). (Haruhi is a bit different: not all-girl cast and some romance. And K-On! is bit too moe to watch it more than, say, twice.) Now, I guess a rather high percentage of all anime fall in these categories. So what makes those series special? The characters? The kind of humor?
Anyway, that's roughly what I'm looking for.
|
Shuffle! is recommended to anyone when they are drunk, high, or caffeinated.
|
Well I'm starting Hidamari Sketch, so we'll see how that goes.
|
Well, Honey and Clover fall under all those categories, except possibly Seinen...although they ARE in post-secondary, so I suppose it could be argued... I would say one of the most unique aspects is the slice of life, the characters are perfectly normal (well, close enough), and all the interactions are realistic?
Haruhi is,I would say, one of the most amusing anime I've ever seen...although I suppose the light novels are better. I dunno, I'm not good at explaining things, so...

Clannad.

So Hayate no Gotoku (2nd season)'s final episode finally got subbed today... gonna suck to not have that series to look forward to ._. Been slowly buying the manga (also just reading it online, but HnG is just that good). Hopefully a third season comes out! =l (( If you are on the fence about watching this, argh go do it now~ ))
- Pani Poni Dash, Minami-ke - worth watching presumably? (I.e., should I throw them on my plan to watch list that apparently grows daily?)
If you want megacuteness moe romance... Um. Well, Clannad and Kanon are solid recommendations regardless, Kyoani basically wins. I don't really know if this falls under the same category, but I liked 'ef ~ a tale of memories' as well, for romance type series.
For megacuteness - I liked Ichigo Mashimaro. Not really moe/romance though. Just a nice (funny) slice of life series.
