Didn't even know Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu had a second season. How's about that

But Samurai X really ended the typical Rurouni Kenshin formula. The Bakamatsu Arc was one of the best manga arcs I ever read.

If you want an anime with a good amount of yuri, watch Cardcaptor Sakura.

I finally finished watching fushigi yuugi (The mysterious play) and god it was painful. I'm not sure I've ever seen such a heavy shoujo anime ever. The nice part was that it had these weird ecchi moments despite being an anime for children. Rape was like the major theme.
Starting on Galaxy Express 999 now. Very nice, I'm getting Kaiba and Casshern vibes already. If you can stand the old animation it's definitely something to recommend... Melancholic, episodic and overall pleasant. Maybe a bit long though...
*edit* also i dont think its a good idea to merge short movies or any movies into the recommendation, at least not without displaying so in any way. Especially something such as Tsumiki no Ie, sure it was a nice little piece, but it's barely even classifiable as anime. Also, why isnt casshern on that list? REMOVE FUCKING EUREKA 7 ITS TERRIBLE, or maybe fmp (its more comedy than mecha really)
No way man, FMP is too good. Especially the LNs.

Someone look at gg's subs of Hidan no Aria episode 7. Most hilarious trolling I've ever seen.
Helps me learn Japanese though at least. xD

That's not saying it's not enjoyable for older people, but it means it has to be accessible for younger ones. This is something that definitely shows in Rurouni Kenshin.
I have a few volumes of the manga here, so yeah, I like it decent enough.
Show might be pretty childish, but Trust and Betrayal is not. If they know what's good for them and try and do more in the same vein as that, I think people of all ages are ready to eat it up BECAUSE IT'S FUCKING AMAZING omnomnomnom.

from what I remember, doesn't cardcaptor sakura have more yaoi and regular relationships than the little hint of yuri it has (not thats its bad or anything)

It has copious amounts of both.

The latest Hidan no Aria is the best thing ever. They got Yoda providing translations, now how cool is that.
|
+ Show Spoiler [Anohana 7] +Just finished it right now. I'm a little bit interested to see if Menma's mom is one of the people that pushed the festival director (husband?) to not let them teacher Jintan and the others.
So good though. Whoever told me to watch this...I love you.

Just started reading Subahibi and wow..... I like it =D Love of cigarettes rooftops and frilly dresses eh?

Actually, they just translated the words as they were without rewriting them in actual English grammar. Too bad I didn't learn too much.
The episode was sooo horribly cliche. I'm soo sad that I have the resolve to continue watching.

So good though. Whoever told me to watch this...I love you. + Show Spoiler [AnoHana 7] +Tsurumi is still my favorite character. Whereas everyone else's issues are quite clear and out in the open, hers are kept locked up behind that cool and calm personality of hers. Seeing her talk to Yukiatsu was almost hard to watch.
I guess this show is on track for being 12-13 episodes long. The fireworks or w/e will probably be the end unless they throw another curveball at us.
