Lucky Star isn't bad, but I think I like it less than most people.

i made the mistake of watching lucky star as like my 5th anime, (i think right after school days lol), so i didnt really understand any of it. i also didnt know why it should be funny, which is what i think why people enjoy the show anyway. you feel like moe should be funny, so you think its funny

This exactly. I watched Lucky Star only a year after I started watching anime and I thought it was the most boring shit ever. But two years after that I revisited it and now the rewatch counter stands at 6 times. Go figure.

No reason for me to rage at him, hes just saying he enjoyed an anime. I'll leave randomly flaming people who like what I don't like to Blobskillz.

I liked Lucky Star. After you get past the first couple of episodes it gets progressively better IMO.

after the whole food jokes in the first part i really felt it improved. BTW I finished seed and I must say I really liked it for a gundam, it was good and kept me watching and even though people dont recommend it i'm going to go thru destiny and see how it ends. Also finished Clannad After Story and definitely not what I was expecting. It was really sad and happy. Definitely glad I saw it though ^.^

I just like Kyo-ani stuff in general. It's always a good slip from reality, especially when I'm stressed.

Just pretend that Gundam SEED doesn't have any sequels. Then ending of SEED was good enough as it is.

I was about to make that CD cover my TL profile picture until I realized this is a European site and I probably can easily get banned for it =P so I put up Uesugi Kenshin instead Though Mikado totally kills Retia interms of Command Points,

that's the good thing about slice of life shows, you can just turn your brain off and enjoy them without having to think too deeply. That doesnt mean animes where you have to think are bad but sometimes for me at least it just feels good to have an anime which makes you feel good when you watch it
and Lucky Star is pretty funny with all its parodies and references

AnoHana ep 6 was good. Overall, the quality of the series has been pretty damn consistent. I still have no idea how this story is supposed to proceed though. =/ Tsurimi still my favorite character. She's so straightforward.
TWGOK 2 OP is out. The side b track is kinda weird. The tune doesn't match the lyrics at all, but its certainly catchy.

I'm not sure what the reasoning behind the Mecha recommendations were. Was it in terms of accessibility to entertainment? You have the original Gundam, which is great, but all the Gundams after it make little sense. Why choose 08th MS team and Stardust memory? I'll forgive Seed, because the new generation seems to love it.
Zeta Gundam is both more true to the original and moves forward within the UC time line as well. You can make an argument for it's lack of popularity in the west, but the same argument could be made for the original. In a sense, Zeta Gundam is a completed version of the original, where Tomino was given freedom to finish a series. The more recent movie trilogy is a good alternative for anyone who wants to be robbed of the joy of the original episodes.
In the same vein, Char's Counterattack is the perfect end to the Tomino era and his body of work for the UC timeline. Yes, there was F-91, but it seemed rushed into a movie and not developed enough. Char's Counterattack is the culmination of Gundam and Zeta Gundam, in a grand finale, where nothing more needs to be said.
