Worst show of the season award for me. It was enjoyable if you turn your brain off and just laugh it, which I did. At first I hated it. Then I did just what you said and just laughed my ass off. Then it got too ridiculous and I raged harder with each passing second (started when Tabane was introduced, pretty much). But at that point it was already like episode 10 so I figured that if I dealt with 9 eps of bullshit already, 3 more won't hurt me.
It's actually not bad if you just turn your brain off or let your brain cells die and let it make you dumb. It's a pretty decent show to laugh at, another good candidate is Gundam Wing english dub even though that one made me gouge my eyes and ears out because it is that terrible. Hey at least the music in IS was pretty decent. Strangely I want another season of IS......

I think the link Ferrose posted is nice; it has a lot of charts. But if you just want one chart try this:
+ Show Spoiler +
I took the chart you used and edited it. I only really touched on the obvious things and left the mass majority of it alone. Some things were just ridiculous so I had to change them.
Patch Notes (starting from the left side):
Outlaw Star: Moved from Action to Sci-Fi. It replaces Real Drive. To be honest I haven't watched Real Drive yet but Outlaw Star is a classic and I checked various sites for rating comparisons and Outlaw Star beat out Real Drive. Hunter x Hunter takes Outlaw Star's place under Action.
Full Metal Panic: Moved from Action to Mech. It replaces Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. This move was mainly done because FMP is mainly looked upon as a mecha and because One Piece needed a slot under Action. I don't know, but I think most people can agree FMP > SEED.
Bounen no Xamdou: Replaced by Katanagatari. I really enjoyed Bounen no Xam'd but Katanagatari's popularity has skyrocketed, its overall ratings are better on all sites, and I myself think it's the better show.
Bartender: Replaced by K-On! I have to admit that I've never watched Bartender. In fact I never hear anything about it. K-On!'s popularity is incredible and is an all-around good slice of life anime. It deserves a recommendation.
Love Hina: Replaced by Kimi ni Todoke. No freaking contest.
sola: Replaced by Bakemonogatari. Honestly I didn't want to put Bakemonogatari under Romance because it has so much more to it, but out of everything else I feel this is the best category for it. sola doesn't compare.
Abenobashi: Replaced by Gintama. If it wasn't for the fact that the Action section is pretty stacked I'd have put Gintama under there. Instead, I had to put it under comedy which I think it still satisfies plentifully. I chose Abenobashi for it to replace because it's not as widely regarded as everything else under this category, although it does have its own hardcore following. It was a tough call but it had to be done. The only condolence I can give to those who do love Abenobashi... is nothing. It doesn't compare to Gintama in ratings, sales, fanbase, total awesomeness, etc.
Rozen Maiden: Moved to Fantasy and replaces Mahou Shoujotai Arusu. I don't even know why Rozen Maiden was placed under Mystery in the first place. Huge failure. I enjoyed Mahou Shoujotai Arusu but Rozen Maiden beats it out in fanbase/popularity and ratings. Master Keaton replaces Rozen Maiden under Mystery. Master Keaton is a real gem.
Fate/stay night: Replaced by City Hunter. Really, why is THIS under Mystery? I enjoyed F/sn even though it does garner a lot of flak from those who have played the game. I couldn't find a spot for F/sn so it was removed completely. City Hunter is a classic; it deserved the spot.
Code Geass: Moved to Mecha and replaces Macross Frontier. Not sure why it's under drama. So with Code Geass replacing Macross Frontier it would mean I've removed it and Gundam SEED in favor of FMP and Code Geass. I think that's a legitimate choice. What about you guys? Code Geass replaced by Grave of the Fireflies.
School Days: Replaced by Tsukimi no Ie. If I didn't do this, how else would you guys troll people and follow it up with the 'according to keikaku' pic? Tsukimi no Ie is only 12 minutes long but it's quite good. Anyone who wants a quick watch, check it out.
Bamboo Blade & Kaiji: Kaiji moved to Psychological and replaces GITS. Nothing against GITS at all, but it's more sci-fi than anything. And in that regard, GITS:SAC is already under sci-fi, so I don't think GITS absolutely needs to be in there. Kaiji is not a freakin' sports anime. Kaiji replaced by Cross Game and Bamboo Blade replaced by Ookiku Furikabutte. Cross Game was an obvious choice. Ookiku Furikabutte beats out Bamboo Blade. As much as I loved Bamboo Blade (trust me, I loved it. I watched it like three times so far. dat Hirohashi Ryou), Ookiku Furikabutte is the better sports anime.
Basilisk: Replaced by Natsume Yuujinchou. Okay, I guess technically you can consider ninja with special powers fantasy. But really, Basilisk should be considered Action more than anything, and in that regard it's not as good as the others under Action. Natsume Yuujinchou is an extremely good show with solid ratings everywhere.

Well I liked both Gundam SEED and Macross Frontier
You should totally replace Starship Operators with something else, that show is the definition of terrible.

OutlaW-: What would you put it under? I was skeptical too but I didn't want to touch it in the end. Your opinion would be much appreciated.
DarthXX: Yeah I've never seen it and I don't actually watch many shows from that category. Got any recommendations?
Oh and I did enjoy both SEED and Frontier too, but imo FMP and Geass were the better shows.

Well, I guess it's hard to classify that one. It's a mix of adventure and romance, but classifying it romance would be unfair to true romance anime and also to the show itself, you have to watch it to understand, so it's kind of hard to recommend ^^

Well, it's listed as fantasy under MAL, anidb, and ANN, so I think it may be safe under Fantasy lol.

probably because of the setting and the cute girl with foxears and tail.
I think the changes you did are good. Code Geass is a bit tough to chose one genre but mech aint wrong. And you did some good exchanges with Kimi ni Todoke, K-ON and Bakemonogatari
|
Its tough with Space Opera, imo Macross fits in Space Opera but is in Mecha cus it has you know .. Mecha, same thing for NGE. It should really be in Psychological, but the mecha are a large part of it too ><

I hate this recommendation chart because it makes me sad that I haven't watched 1% of whats on there .
In all seriousness though, it's pretty tough to gauge from the chart wether or not a show is worth watching, but I understand being tired of making the same recommendations over and over again.
|
You removed School Days without any patch note Like it or dislike it, imo it should still be there, just for the amazing experience...

Yeah totally forgot to mention I removed School Days. I mean really, how else will you guys be able to troll people who ask for recommendations and then post the 'according to keikaku' pic?
Edited the post.

It's true that now we'll have a valid excuse to troll if they don't want to look at the chart... I guess it's a good tradeoff then, even though I would still prefer to keep School Days in there.
EDIT : Wanted to say that I agree with all the other changes.

Feeling with you.... seeing this list the first time and i have yet to watch 92 animes ( I wateched only 41% of this.. how is that even possible o.o) before I'm allowed to ask souma for recommendations I guess. xD
Ah well.. starting "touch" tomorrow... will get there. :D

you are allways welcome to ask for recommendations when you want to watch something specific. This chart is just for the people that come here and ask like " I watched Death Note, now I wanna watch other good anime help plx"

Sounds good! :D But actually the list did already help me. Just finished the last Major season couple of weeks ago and I'm still kinda in a baseball hype, so touch is perfect. :D But I will come back to this channel more frequently from now on, so I'll take your offer sooner or later for sure.

Touch is long and starts off somewhat slow in terms of good baseball action. You should start with Cross Game imo. ^^ Unless you've seen that already.

Yeah, exactly. The chart is there for the neophytes, which are completely new to anime and have only watched like 1-2 shows, and don't know what to do next. Although I'm also embarrassed by that chart. Not only have I not watched like 90% of it, but I don't even recognize the names of the shows on that chart, rofl. Some of those shows listed there, seem really old judging by the drawing style.
