As awesome and as much as I've enjoyed this arc, I agree 100% I'm looking forward to the arc wrap up like a million times more then I am looking forward to the actual fights.

Well not really. Is Jimbei really heading for Dressrosa? I only gathered that he wanted to deliver Caribou to the marines or someone else to jail him. About Koala: I don't think she had a childhood of abuse. She just had one traumatic experience when she witnessed her saviour's death. She stayed in the village(right?) and the villagers have no reason to hate her or make her life miserable because she was kidnapped.

Caribou must get separated from Jinbe at some point, since we have already seen a cover arc have X Drake come along and dominate Caribou, and take him off somewhere.

I don't know what you could call that but abuse...

Her family recognized her and and she recognized them, so she must have been abducted when she was already over 4 years old. And she got brought back still quite young, so at worst she had a few years of slavery. Phew, saved my viewpoint. Kind of. Actually i should probably doublecheck any or all claims I just made (up).

I wonder if she found out what really happened to fisher tiger which triggered her to join the revolutionary army. ( in addition to the obvious hate for the nobels) While not a nice thing to happen, being a slave and treated badly is a hardship. Koala won't forget it, but the thing she will remember the longest is the fear of being killed at a whim, I am willing to bet on that. Real long lasting harm is done to a humans head, not his body. Things like social rejection, betrayal of trust and actions with the intent of screwing with someone's head can do irreparable damage to a human. Physical hardship doesn't compare to that. Being treated as a sub-human but accepted by the society is better for the human mind than being collectively rejected by the entire society that otherwise considers you a person like everyone else. Humans are peculiar like that. Tl;dr Koala's emotional wounds might have healed already over the years since she returned to her home.
